Brady just announced he will not be returning to the Patriots. He shared the news on all his various social media pages.

No matter where he goes he probably will not do as well as if he stayed with the Pats. Could blemish his great career.

As much as I wanted him to stay, him leaving won't blemish his career. He could have added to his legacy by staying, but it won't be hindered by him leaving.

Montana was a different situation due to the injury, but his legacy wasn't diminished because he played for KC to end his career.

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that he's provided all long time Pats fans with some of the greatest lifetime memories we'll ever have. 20 seasons, 6 titles, countless thrills, he's earned the right to do what he wants and I wish him nothing but the best.

can't argue with this /\ except to point out he always had the right to do what he wanted, within the constraints of his contract.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

I’m pulling for the Bucs next season. Would love to see Brady stick a ring up Belichick‘s keester.

Quann why the animosity towards Belichick? Brady was great and I love the guy, but success of the team was due to BOTH. Do you want a guy running things to make sentimental decisions or whats good for the franchise? If they gave Brady everything he wanted, and he got hurt or dropped off the table, it could cripple them for years. It was a calculated decision that had to be made at some point. Remember, Brady the kid got his shot when Bledsoe got hurt, so Stidham could be a good qb, who knows, or maybe he sucks, but you can't give Brady all that money AND get him all the weapons he wants. Not possible. It sucks but the time has come to move on

All I can say is Brady has A LOT of pressure on him to win in Tampa or everyone will be saying what a risky move it was to take on a 43 yo qb.

I would like to see both do well. Talent wise TB is in much better shape. Saw a report this am that free agents are calling TB while it seems to be an exodus from New England

Patriots signed Brian Hoyer this afternoon to a 1 year contract. Played for the Pats for 4 1/2 years earlier and they figure he is familiar with their system.

Floyd, it was still a little raw at that point when I posted, I don't really mean what I wrote. Belichick has been amazing here and I'm thankful for everything he's done. It's still hard to think Brady will be suiting up for the Bucs though, I can't wrap my brain around it yet. If we have a football season next fall, it will be interesting.
