I was just looking at A10 numbers. It's a better comparison. If East played a little better at the start of the A10 season to go along with how he finished the I would agree. I think his first half league play was to inconsistent. Sean had great stretches this season. I'm all in for an upgrade to the 1 and 2 but I think East will be a solid contributor here for years to come.

East had better numbers than Collins in A10 play, too.

What it came down to, I think, is that voters (coaches) wanted to spread the wealth. They all voted for Tre so none of theme were inclined to vote for another UMass player. Maybe some denial, too, not wanting to face the fact that UMass had two of the five best rookies in the league this season.

East definitely has a case but I don't think I've ever seen FT% cited when making the case for somebody on an all-conference team

I listed a set of stats to compare the players. FT’s (and FGs) happened to be included, not to make the case but to provide a full picture. But you knew that. That said, among other things, a dude who shoots 56% from the line shouldn't be getting the nod over another primary ball handler when the overall stats already call such into question.

That was really nice. Good to see Matty V back in the mix as well.

First time in years we're playing better as the season has progressed and A10 tourney get cancelled. I know its the right thing to do, but damn we can't catch a break

Ok, so now lets get the roster set for next year and let the speculation begin. Gonna be a looooong offseason

The fact that we've had at least a few snippets of BB news makes me miss it even more. Here's a tweet that shows the value of having a generational player like Tre and how he can help build a program. Tre also tweeted Tyriek and told him he might as well commit now. I saw one pre-season report that had Tre as a 3rd team All-American.

Kind of a sudden, odd ending to that article

But anyway, thats why Tre has separated himself from other big guys, works more to get better. We're very lucky to have him at UMass, so I'll enjoy every game I watch him play

^ unfortunately, looks like he may have separated the shoulder as well. Really hope that this isn’t serious.
