Reminder that Trump indirectly stated that coronavirus was a hoax. Imagine being so mentally weak that you believe that this guy is still a leader.
I guess facts don't really matter. There was nothing indirectly about it. He never said the virus was a hoax. Once again he said the lefts response to his handling of it was like so many other "hoax's" in the past. The response has been so bad that only staunch supporters of Trump like the Gov. of California are praising the feds.

As for the other topic I agree that voting should be done over 2 days.
This is from unbiased fact check website from UPenn. https://www.factcheck.org/2020/03/trump ... -new-hoax/

But you will probably argue the legitimacy of the link and say it’s a political agenda as well. You are a sad, sad little man, should truly be embarrassed of yourself at this point.

It’s okay to admit you’re wrong; I know you have some character inside of yourself.

Umm.. even in the article they say he was talking about the pollicization of the virus and referring to his response. I mean go ahead and take the leap of connecting that to him calling the virus a hoax. He says some dumb stuff but this was a big leap.

Of course it's politicized, he's in politics. You can't be this stupid..... can you? He indirectly called coronavirus a hoax, I have no idea how you can even argue that.

My god you guys are really reaching. Biden is indirectly running for senate and thinks his sister is his wife and Bernie is indirectly a communist. See how easy that is

Didn't learn our lesson from 2016 that policing speech and calling everything racist/sexist (this one is not happening in this thread but is very much happening "online") is going to push undecided voters away, huh?

So by that logic, I pushed undecided voters towards voting for Trump by saying that he has not taken corona virus seriously enough? Yikes.

You guys are something special.

Governor of Ohio banned fans from any NCAA Tournament event coming up. That doesn't bode well for my trip to Albany next weekend...

That's not what you said.. not taking is seriously enough and calling it a hoax are two very different things. If you dont think hes taking it seriously enough that's a valid opinion. One can argue that most of us arent taking it seriously. Most of the hysteria I've seen is from the press and politicians. Most of the medical professionals I've heard from arent really that alarmed.

You know several medical professionals that are not worried or “alarmed” about coronavirus.....

This just keeps getting better and better

when did I say worried. I didn't say that, I said they weren't alarmed and they had a more measured approach/response. I never said it wasn't serious. I just prefer the measured fact based response over hysteria. Fact is over the decades when these outbreaks happen we forget about them after they are gone and don't take any of the lessons learned. We should have had a contingency plan in place for this.

Aptly enough your post is just a symptom of the problem. You are not directly going to influence anyone's vote (except maybe TheInsider  ).

SARS: 8096 cases in all. Throughout the entire epidemic.
MERS: 2506 cases in all, since the start of the epidemic (in 2012) until now

The only one with any real numbers behind it was Swine Flu and that had an estimated fatality rate of 0.01%-0.03%. Currently the estimates for this Coronavirus has it at 3.4%, which is 100-340 times that rate.

Which of those previous epidemics are you comparing this to?

H1N1 was the last and killed more than 500k people. Its obviously less deadly than covid but rates this early are unreliable. The point is we never took lessons learned and set up for the next one. We have a contingency plan for war breaking out in every region of the world that changes yearly. Why no pandemic contingency plan. I.E. testing plans, travel plans, stockpile of essential goods and meds.
