Eligibility is a whole different animal than health issues and unfortunately I'm not a miracle healer. He'll have to get back the old fashioned way, through medical science!

I was wondering that kind of thing myself, some kind of intestinal ailment or something. I have a good friend who had one of those type of things and it took a long time to get under control.

Lets hope TJ gets well soon, basketball aside, and gets healthy. Great kid and family
Hope not. My 15 year old has it and she'll get chemo every six weeks for the rest of her life to try to keep it at bay.

Those NBC guys were right. It is a hernia, according to McCall.

I'm so glad it's not some kind of chronic condition. A hernia can be treated and be done from what I've seen. I am surprised it took so long to get to this point.

not knowing the type of hernia, my 2 cents...if repairable by surgery, get it fixed now.

That article is really encouraging (not the TJ part). Seems like the guys are focused on moving forward and not dwelling on these tough losses. Glad to see it. I really think the wins are going to come, but it's frustrating waiting. Oh well, we've waiting 4-5 years now, we can wait a little more.

As long as the progression is there, I think we'll be fine. If the same things keep happening and losses mount, then we should be concerned. I think this group really can focus on getting better and keeps working, and can see their progress and it gives them more drive. Hopefully they get there sooner rather than later and they pull out these close games

Just from knowing people with hernias, it's usually not a quick recovery. But he is young who knows.

All depends on the location... hopefully it's a quick recover for TJ.

Bergeron just said that TJ has a hernia - will have surgery soon and will be out for the year.
He said that he would get back the year of eligibility

Early this year, there were a few games where TJ really took a lot of contact and hit the floor pretty hard a few times. Hernia surgery is fairly common and by 8 weeks should be ready to go. So I'd expect it wouldn't be an issue for him all summer

I'll take an extra year of TJ any day

McCall said in the post game presser that TJ Weeks will be having surgery Friday and will be out for the season. He is "confident" he will be able to get a medical redshirt.
