Amin can go straight from UMass to ESPN, as far as I'm concerned. As for the players, how about this:
Pierre’s work ethic is common knowledge at this point, something he’s trying to pass on. Pierre introduced Weeks to his grueling shooting routine on The Gun over the summer — 1,000 shots in the morning, 500 makes in the evening. The two shoot together as often as they can, trying to get in the gym every night if possible.

What a terrific role model for these freshmen to have. Carl Pierre is the quintessential UMass recruit and absolutely perfect for this team. TJ obviously has no conscience about shooting - nor should he - and getting up all those shots is only going to help. Love the work ethic.

I don't want him to be screwed over by ESPN though.

Pierre will be the Jim McCoy of the program, the guy who got it all started. The Godfather.

He looked pretty banged up in the St Johns game. Is he alright? Helluva start so far, over 50% from 3.

Any confirmed news on TJ? I have heard 3 things, only 1 of them from the press. This from The Collegian is pretty vague:
UMass was without TJ Weeks on Wednesday. The freshman is out with an abdominal injury that is non-sports related. There is no timetable for his return.
I have also heard hernia and hip pointer.

Walfish suggested maybe his appendix. Whatever it is, hopefully he can get right over the next week and it is not something too serious.

Yeah, non sports related would seem to indicate it isn't a hernia or hip pointer. Who knows tho. But whatever it is, just get right first TJ. Kid has shown his toughness already, so I'm sure its killing him to be out.

McCall reiterated the non-sports related abdominal issue. That's all he would say out of respect for privacy for TJ and his family but he did leave open the possibility that he may be out for a while. They are hoping to have more news early next week.

We weren't going to win the league this season, but it feels like this season is rapidly falling apart. Yeah, a six game losing streak will do that, but still.
