Just to add on.... I gave my ticket away for tonight's Northeastern game and was VERY pleasantly surprised to see there was no longer a $10 fee to transfer it via ticketmaster. I would say any other STH here that want to bring extras to the game should take advantage of Cahoona here and you can have the ticket transferred to your ticketmaster account for free. Easy peasy.

Radio crew just talked about the CCSU game: 1. They stink 2. They're playing at Arizona State at 10:00 on Thursday night, and then have to fly back and play us at 1:00 on Saturday. 3. I can't wait to be there for it.

^ Previous UMass would undoubtedly find a way to lose that game.
Not this time.
Not this time.
Re: Game 4, 2019-20: Central CT (11/16)
CCSU was picked to finish 10th in the 11 team Northeast Conference. #11 is Merrimack, who just upgraded from D2 this past off-season.
Copying from the NEC pre-season media day...
2018-19 Overall Record: 11-20
2018-19 NEC Record/NEC Finish: 5-13/10th
Letterwinners Returning/Lost: 5/9
Starters Returning/Lost: 2/3
Three Players to Watch:
Jamir Coleman (Sr, G/F, 6’7”, 215 lbs.): 12.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 84.3 FT%
Ian Krishnan (So, G, 6’2”, 180 lbs.): 12.0 ppg, 71 3P, 84.3 FT%
Karrington Wallace (So., F, 6’7”, 200 lbs.): 3.0 ppg, 2.7 rpg
Outlook
There will be plenty of new faces taking the court for Donyell Marshall this season in New Britain, but the former NBA star has two key pieces back to build around. Senior swingman Jamir Coleman (San Antonio, TX/South Plains College) is a do-it-all player that can help a team in so many ways. Last year, he averaged 12.1 ppg, ranked second on the Blue Devils with 6.2 rpg, made 25 three-pointers and shot 84.3 percent from the line. He’ll team up with NEC All-Rookie selection Ian Krishnan (Boyds, MD/Proctor Academy (NH)), who gave notice to the conference with a 28-point outing at Georgetown in just his third collegiate game. With one of the quickest releases and smoothest strokes on the loop, Krishnan ranked second among NEC freshman with 12.0 ppg and led all first year players with 71 makes from outside the arc. Marshall added seven freshmen to the roster in the offseason with an eye on building from the ground up.
So far this year...
Lost their season & home opener to Hartford, 74-59
Lost at St John's, 87-57, in one of the Tip-Off event prelim games
As mentioned, they play at ASU at 10 PM Eastern on Thursday, then start our game in Amherst just 39 hours later. Bad/unfortunate scheduling on their part, opportunity for us to press them into submission.
In the stats department, freshman Greg Outlaw leads them with 12.0 ppg. Coleman is giving them 8.0 ppg so far, then it's a freshman party with the #3-5 leading scorers being newcomers. On the glass, it's Wallace with 7.5 rpg, and junior Stephane Ayangma with 7.0. Outlaw leads in assists at 4.5 apg.

Thanks for the synopsis Mike - should be a comfortable W for our guys. Is this part of the Mohegan event or is it just a coincidence that they play at both us and ASU?
Re: Game 4, 2019-20: Central CT (11/16)
ESPN+ says 3:30. I'm assuming that is a mistake.

It's part of the Mohegan event. CCSU gets to play at Mohegan as well, against the low-majors, a.k.a. "Springfield Bracket".

Eventhough we dont look like a team full of freshman.. this early I'm still scared to say "should be a comfortable "

ESPN+ could choose to show it at 3:30, right?

The thing you worry about with a young team is they are always capable of losing a home game they should win, so hopefully they will take care of business against CCSU and Rider. It would be nice being 5-0 going into Mohegan and the tough part of our OOC schedule,

They could, not sure why they wouldn't show it live though. After games are shown live, they're available for replay at any time.

No doubt. But there’s a different feel about this team, IMO. McCall seems to be doing a good job of reminding them they still have a lot to prove and 3-0 means nothing. though a little swagger doesn’t hurtDrG wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 9:37 pm The thing you worry about with a young team is they are always capable of losing a home game they should win, so hopefully they will take care of business against CCSU and Rider. 5-0 going into a bout with the defending champs and top 10 team will go a long way for the growth of this team - win or lose. they will learn a lot from playing uva. with that being said- we win by 20.
