Where/how?
Someone help here. I believe that the original note, which is long tossed out, indicated that the gift would be available at home games starting with the UConn game.

That would make sense... I threw that away with the rest of the junk they send in those packets. I'll inquire Saturday.

The gift fiasco is yet another example of poor sports management by UMass.

We UMass fans are a masochistic lot.

Everything is more difficult than necessary. Everything that is except scoring on UMass’ defense. :P

Had a great time at 2019 Homecoming. I got to be a participant in the "fan tunnel" for UMass player entrance. Met a few board members. Drank about 6 different varietals of beer and got a complimentary Jack Daniels at Isenberg Tent. Super day. I didnt get a parking pass and ended up in Lot 25 near Mullins Center. Group of friends ended up tailgating in Lot 34 across from Newman Center. All in all everything worked out. Much better than 2009 Homecoming when we got shut off at the old Hangar and asked to leave the establishment post haste. Go UMass

Also on the parking I came down Fearing Street (wanted to see my old dorm Patterson...also saw many scantily clad coeds....and cops carding students carrying beverages). I didnt know about pre-paid parking requirement so when I took a right onto University Drive I was handed a map on a slip of paper showing where free parking was. Lots 32 and 34 were packed so I went to Mullins Center and walked to McGuirk. We had tickets to the All U Can Eat Alumni tent. Worked up an appetite walking the 1 mile!

Because they have non umass sport management trained "professionals" running the department"

^ Sports Management majors ought to intern at UMass Athletics.

They do intern there, but as a 19/20/21 year old intern you really going to step up to your boss and challenge his (lame) ideas to fill seats. Frankly, I do not know how many 19 year olds want to pick up a phone and talk to you about buying tickets.

they have had 5 years to figure out parking and tailgating, they have not figured it....

The problem with the parking and tail gating are they are run by the campus police not the athletic department. That is why it is so screwed up.

^^^^
Would it be that tough to get someone from the athletic dept. to work with campus police on figuring it out? These don’t seem like difficult things to solve.

When I was still living in the Berkshires and going to the sport luncheons I asked about that and the campus police did not want any input from the Athletic Dept. So much for campus co-operation.

Maybe their way of getting back for not have those half dozen cushy head coach:sideline security gigs they thought were coming their way after the move to Big Time Football!
