Besides the traffic issue, how was the pre paid lot tailgate? We were so close to hotel Umass, we decided to skip the game, check in and go uptown to watch it on tv.

I’m in the lot for every game. It was no different aside from the amount of people. A little bummed the tent was back on the lawn.Camby4Life wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 4:48 pm Besides the traffic issue, how was the pre paid lot tailgate? So was this UConn game officially Rock-Bottom?
As much as I would like to believe we should have beaten them, the reality of it is that Umass really had no chance. With depleted numbers from injury and quitting/suspensions we only had like 48 or so scholarship players on the bench I think.
What was most depressing was that everybody in the Northern Hemisphere knew all UConn was going to do was run after about 5 minutes into the game and they still shredded us as we had nobody to stop anything.
I think Stevemaz is on crack with his predictions, but I do think better days are ahead. I am still patient. I do not put much stock in the questionable play calling at the moment because we are just not that talented so doing odd things may just be attributed trying stuff out..... The reality is that they have nothing to lose and can't sink any lower.

I heard rumblings of the parking fiasco from people who finally made it over to our tailgate.... but I didn't realize it was this bad. Coming down University Drive from Rt 9 is well signed, but I can only imagine what happens if someone accidentally goes down the wrong lane. I didn't see the rest of the campus on game day, but if it's true there was little to no signage for people driving in from other areas... not good.
The game sucked, but we had a great day overall with some beautiful weather.

Hard to imagine worse days being ahead. There's no place to go but up from here.

Disappointing to hear about Parking. I got there at 2:30 PM and had no trouble. Well, a bit of trouble as someone else was driving and got in the wrong lane. Thankfully we’re both season ticket holders and both have different lot passes, so we just used my pass and were fine.
While we’re complaining about experience, and granted it’s minor, I don’t like how the season ticket holder gifts weren’t available in the stadium. I was in the South Loop and entered through the gates by the South endzone. When I inquired about the gift after entering, they said I’d have to leave the stadium and go to the hospitality tent North of the stadium. But there’s no reentry. I asked if I could get it after the game and they said no.
I don’t really need the umbrella but still. Why not have it in the stadium? Or at least have a sign to let people know before entering? Or have some in the South Loop? I can’t be the only season ticket holder who parks there.

The best part of the day was stopping by IV's tailgate and hanging out with some other diehards including Cape Cod Bruiser and his crew. Excellent planning on IV's part to have it next to the Isenberg Tailgate Tent.InnervisionsUMASS wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 8:12 am The game sucked, but we had a great day overall with some beautiful weather.

You are not and I just happened to stumble upon it when I went up Stadium Drive to pick up something else. We enter next to the visitors locker room , same as you, since that is the closest entrance, still wouldn't see the tent if we entered in the main ticket booth entrance or the season ticket holder entrance. The athletic department knows how many people park in South Loop and I would imagine with the hand held scanners, they can tell which entrance each person uses.jjmc85 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:27 am

^ The gift tent was where it was because I called ahead and asked that it be across the street from our tailgate group.
Actually, if it had not been coincidently placed there, I would not have known.
The only notice that I remember was a small note included with the season tickets that stated the date that the umbrellas would be available.

I didn't know (or maybe more accurately it slipped my mind) that there was a season ticket gift. Oh well.

I was surprised Athletics didn’t include gift availability in their game preview email. They are usually good about mentioning these kind of things in those emails.
