Attendance was 12,234.

In the misery loves company department I saw that an ACC team from Chestnut Hill also can't play defense.

Not giving BC any credit, but there is a big difference on the misery level between getting blown out by number one Clemson at their home versus number 127 on your homecoming...

Read my postings on the other board: Bell is without a doubt the worst HC in FBS. He is so damn stubborn and refuses to learn or change. He's a young guy, not in his 60's, and we will lose every game he coaches. 1-11 this year AND next.McKinney wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 7:59 pm I'm not a fan of the hurry-up and I do happen to believe it is leaving our defense gassed.
But honestly, even if this defense was operating at peak performance on every snap, is there any evidence to suggest they'd be able to allow 33.4 fewer points per game? Because that's the reality. Our average margin of loss is 33.4 points (-32.3 scoring margin).
Even when this defense is fresh they can not stop anything. Each opponents' opening drive has been a scoring drive in every single game since SIU. They've allowed 5 touchdowns and 1 field goal to those 6 opponents. When they're fresh! You can't blame the hurry-up there. Two of those have been given even when the defense had great field position (91-yard opening drives allowed against CCU and LaTech).
I'm sure that the hurry-up leaves the defense gassed, but frankly, I don't believe being gassed is the entirety for why this defense is so bad.

Yet somehow the traffic by campus around noon was worse than traveling to the Big House with 100,000 people. No signs for parking anywhere, just police and traffic. What a joke for the alumni traveling to campus gameday. We had to park behind the Mullins center because the pre paid parking was sold out. There were many other cars in our situation and a lot of groups that were forced to park there didn’t go to the game.
UConn -9 and over 62 were the easiest wins of the day.

Ryan Bamford is killing this program, if it’s not on the field by hiring Bell, it’s off the field with the game day experience. It has gotten progressively worse since he took over and the high water mark was yesterday. Student workers and cops had no clue what was going on and as a result the traffic continued to get backed up. It wasn’t this difficult to park when we played with a sellout crowd against UNH in the FCS Quarters in 2006Camby4Life wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 7:41 amYet somehow the traffic by campus around noon was worse than traveling to the Big House with 100,000 people. That’s pathetic. We probably have enough land surrounding the stadium to accommodate 50,000 people easily, how can they not figure out 12,000? With the product on the field being awful it becomes even more of a necessity get the game day experience perfect. Figure it out athletic department.

Idiot drivers not following signs to get in appropriate lanes on university drive angered me. The yellow lot lane was full of people going to purple lot. University drive should be made into a four lane one way street heading to the stadium on game days. It took about 30 minutes from rafters to yellow lot right at 11:30.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....how can UMass, which has a highly touted Sports Management major, manage its sports so poorly?
UMass doesn't have so many fans that it can take them for granted by making it stressful to attend a game...especially when that game is on TV.
It's too easy to change then channel once the game gets out of hand....instead of having to thinking about getting stuck in traffic trying to get in or out of there.
That just adds insult to injury

That’s quite a harsh take on the so called idiot drivers. There was no signage driving through campus down mass ave and trying to make the left turn onto university drive. Had to turn around and cut down fearing st. Still no signs on where to go. This is the one football game worth tailgating for and last year you could just park in the lot and pay. Maybe all of the signage was on university drive coming from rt 9. The traffic was brutal 4 hours before gametime, just a horrible experience all around.minutefanjsf wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 9:39 am Idiot drivers not following signs to get in appropriate lanes on university drive angered me. With all of the problems that were associated with getting to this game and the prices at the concession stands I am glad I moved away 5 years ago. Just pay whatever outfit is streaming the games and watch them in the comfort of my house with any food or snacks.
Get to see the guys play at Davidson every other year and the gals every year.

Yes I am only talking about coming from rte 9. Plenty of signage.Camby4Life wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 10:51 amThat’s quite a harsh take on the so called idiot drivers. I can sum up the game, the pre-game, and the post game cattle call out.

Funny thing is many places I’ve seen games don’t have signs at all. It is just assumed people know where to go. BC, Notre Dame for example have few signs, but they have personnel that know what they are doing.minutefanjsf wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 11:39 amYes I am only talking about coming from rte 9. Not to mention as we were turning into lot 22 at 11:27 a student parking attendant told us to to keep it moving this lot doesn’t open until 11:30. If you want to cut down on traffic then let the dozen or so cars that are there 3 minutes early into the parking lot.Quann wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 9:25 am ^^^^^^^

The problem is this administration doesn’t want a bunch of drunks staggering around and think that if anyone is drinking for 4 hours before the game it’s ok but 4 hours 3 minutes is completely unacceptable....So we had to drive all the way down university drive and turn around and didn’t park until almost noon. Bamford and this department really know how to treat the season ticket holders
