Game 8: vs UConn - 10/26/2019 (Homecoming Weekend)
I don't see a game thread, so here we are. Homecoming weekend! Another battle of two of the worst teams in FBS. Hopefully we win... losing to UConn is the worst.

Currently +10.5 on most books. +310 on the money line tickles me a little bit.
Also, strangely looking forward to getting back out to campus for this one. Might have a couple extra tickets available if anyone needs some - I know they are probably going to be tough to come by

It's likely I'll know a few people looking for tickets.. I already know two. Happy to take them off your hands.

If Umass football is going to suck for the rest of the programs days my only hope is that they win 1 game per year and it is against the pussies each and every year!!!!!

Any word on Thomas-Ishman for this game? The Mammoth Senior was the best OL player entering the season - he was on the Senior Bowl watch list. Coach Bell suspended him indefinitely and we haven't seen him on the field since the Charlotte debacle, yet he remains on the roster and a member of the team. With 5 games left to play you would think that Coach Bell would either lift the suspension or have something to say to address his status for the rest of the season. Perhaps I missed the announcement amidst all the excitement and hype during the bye week, but I'd like to see Thomas Ishman return to the field this week against Uconn.

I imagine that people are starting to gather for tail gating. Did they leave the bubble over the winter practice field inflated to show it off for homecoming weekend?
Re: Game 8: vs UConn - 10/26/2019 (Homecoming Weekend)
I do think there was a goal to have it up by homecoming. But once it's up I think they just try to limit the number of times it's inflated/deflated throughout the winter & fall.

Gameday picked our game again. Herbie called us one of the worst teams ever, ouch.

Gee! A half hour before game time, somebody must be doing tailgating. Are you people so depressed that you are not making any comments about the game?

It's a big deal to take it down and put it up! There's a whole lighting system that has to be erected inside the thing, I think. They intend to take it down in the warmer months then erect it about this time every year. It seems weird to me to do this.... the trouble to erect and dismantle every year must be costly!

Apparently not as costly as a permanent structure!DeeDeeBee wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 2:07 pm It's a big deal to take it down and put it up! no running game, fair passing game, fair to poor defense...losing 21-35. waiting until next year, or maybe the year after.

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

If we don’t win this game, we won’t be able to become bowl eligible.
