If they ever hired Pitino I would resign and go root for UConn. I would never root for Umass in any capacity ever again in any sport.

Rick Pitino is the poster child for EVERYTHING that I despise about college athletics.

Because UConn is known to have run such a clean program?

No not at all.... most all of these programs have marks on their record from one incident to another. RP's are just some of the most egregious and he is just such an arrogant, smarmy prick - him coming here would be for him to use us for his own ego - I cannot get behind that - no thanks.

But changing my allegiance to UConn shows exactly how much I am against RP - shit - I may even become a Boston College Fan.....

I'm glad this is just idle speculation since it would be the worst idea for UMASS if they actually were considering it. To paraphrase a quote- when someone reveals themselves to you believe it. He has revealed himself as a self-centered, unethical jerk.

Our Man shouldn't even get one more year to work things out! He has a .250 winning percentage in a bad A10! That's the worst percentage in 40 years!

So your suggestion is to fire the coach two/three weeks before the season? Nice.

Most incredibly stupid thread on the board? That's an incredibly high, or is that low, standard.

Wow, we need games to start.
This year feels like the start of the McCall era. Lets see where we go from here. Honestly, aside from the toughness they played with the first year, its been a rough ride. But I give MM a lot of credit for realizing things needed to be changed and has not been afraid to make them. I like the assistants he's brought in, the attitude of the young guys and the holdovers seems to be great which should help with the culture, and the addition of an older, experienced "assistant" should help as well. So now lets see where the development and game management & preparation go which should give us an idea of the program's direction. I, for one, am impressed with McCall's willingness to make those big moves, and like his drive and determination to build the program back up. Now let's give him a chance to do it

This thread is still extremely funny to read. I wish it would die but it keeps coming back.

Would Ricky be a good football coach? Asking for a friend.
Retarded artistically. Idiotic in other respects.
