We are obviously still very young and undermanned on D. I think we keep scoring though.. that Rutgers D will get gassed

Ya, the defense is going to need to grow up over the season cuz they are very raw. The lack of pressure up front is leaving the dbs out to dry.

There is literally no one on this team that can play defense. We cannot cover, we cannot get pressure, we can't even read an offense!

Defense is an embarrassment as usual. Rutgers made adjustments on defense and the offense looks confused. Sorry, but not a fan of the spread offense for UMass without even a decent defense. Miss watching Isabella...

Hope Curtis comes in for the second. West looks he needs a break.

We might be watching the worst defense in the history of college football...

Well.....UConn was pretty futile in defense last year!

21-41 now and the defense is completely overmatched. Feel badly for these kids playing D. Most are in way over their heads. Add to that the fact our punting and kickoffs have been a disaster and this is what you get.

So for everyone who was "ok" with losing games this season as long as they see progress.......what do you think so far?

No progress same junk year in and year out. Last winning season back in 2010. Hitting the 10 year mark in 2022. Really tired of the losing. Its getting to be much.

I expected a loss tonight, but this is worse than I thought it would be. So far sticking with my 3-4 wins, but I just wonder if this defense will be able to stop anyone. And it appears we still can’t kickoff or punt.
