That was Herndon
I used to play in the adult men's league against him at Smith Voke - holy shit could he jump. It was one thing watching from the stands, but when you have him jumping over you on the floor to take a rebound from you - it was a whole new perspective.

I could still get up to the rim (not dunk - just my finger tips) and that crazy bastard would just "appear" above me and take the ball before it even got to my hands....

Watching him play - Fun
Playing against him - notsomuch
Eldon - sounds like you needed someone to yell at you to "box out."
HA!

2020 6”10 C Chad Venning @ChadVenning ranked as the 33rd best prospect in New England per @NERRHoops Light on his feet, great defender, good post presence

Holds multiple offers: UC Davis & Manhattan

High Interest from: Umass, St. Bonaventure, Fairfield
Anyone who gets this question wrong should take a 30 day hiatus from the board:

What Prep School does Venning attend?

These Woodstock offers are starting to get a little over the top... I'll lose it when the offer the water-boy to be a team manager

^ Play to your strengths, use the advantages you have. Through TB, UMass has a great connection at one of the best prep programs in the country. As far as I can tell, UMass has yet to recruit what I think qualifies as a sub-par played from the Woodstock program. The only travesty would be passing on a good player solely because he went/goes to Woodstock.

This. Bergeron didn't handpick the coach and help recruit the current class just to ignore them. This was a calculated move to provide a recruiting edge. Also this board is great. "We need a big man"

As I've noted earlier, the program should be able to save a lot of money with its new recruiting strategy...

Its only a calculated move if these players are A10 caliber and can help UM to win. None of that has been proven......

I mean they all had offers from other a-10 teams or high majors besides Cairo who by all accounts was not heavily recruited because UMass targeted him early and was a clear favorite so teams didn't put much effort in

I’ll say the same thing I say every time someone brings up the lame “We need more kids from MA” argument: I don’t care where the kids come from as long as they can play a bit and are good fits on and off the court. I think it’s a lot of hand wringing over nothing until things actually play out.

^Yep, the Woodstock connection will be great, OK, or a bust; and until we see what happens, lets sit back, root for the guys, have a cold one, and be happy.

I think it's a great connection. TB has had great success there which shows 2 things: 1, his record shows he can coach, and 2, "his type" of players have talent, play hard, and look to be great kids. Be crazy not to utilize that connection if that program continues on that path.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but check out the pictures. Dyondre Dominguez has been mentioned before and the Woodstock train rolls on.

We just offered Mohamed Wague. A very under the radar prospect. His story reminds me a bit of Steph Lasme.
In what was his first year of organized basketball Wague averaged over 11 points and 10 rebounds a game, showing off not as an interior 4 man, but as a wing who could shoot from the perimeter and be a tough midrange weapon off the dribble.
The fact that Wague has only been playing basketball overall for about three years makes it scary in Mangan’s mind about how good he could be, with the longtime FDA head man saying it’s pretty much up to Wague himself as to how far he will have the game of basketball take him.

College coaches need to look out for Mohamed Wague, a 6-9 forward from @FDA1BASKETBALL in Harlem. As you can see, he’s a terror at the rim, but he can also block shots and rebound. He was one of the key contributors to the Lions winning a PSAL 🅰️ division
