"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

He looks like a find, impressive stats through his jr. year.

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Re: 2020 recruiting
I had been somewhat concerned about the level of our Lax recruiting...not so much anymore.

Re: 2020 recruiting
^^ I'm still concerned. While UMASS certainly gets some good recruits, I do not think they get enough to compete at the highest level. You look at some of the schools and they are getting 5-10 top recruits per year. UMASS gets 1 or 2 at best. To the credit of Cannella and his staff, UMASS is still competitive (see Yale in NCAA's two years ago). But they continue to be so-so in recruiting. Lost a top recruit to Maryland when he decommitted. I thought for sure UMASS would be much better at recruiting after the final appearance against Virginia. I do like that Cannella is recruiting so heavily in Mass/NH.
All the above goes for the women's lacrosse team as well. Lost a major recruit to from MA to Richmond.

Re: 2020 recruiting
North Carolina has so many recruits playing time will be an issue, see transfer Chris Gray from BU. What is happening now with the NCAA transfer pool and immediate play the next athletic year means nothing is certain.
Chase Scanlan from Loyola, a top tier first year, has just entered the pool, big loss for them, given that they lost Spencer to graduation and a grad year playing bball at Northwestern.
My general question is will UMass ever benefit from transfers, or just lose players/recruits?
Are we getting to the point where it is headed toward a modified 'rent a player' model, where instead of players going into the pros, they go to another college?
