Re: 2019 Recruiting
Kolton doesn't seem to have much of a left hand. I'm sure it will develop but if that's what he's walking in with, I wouldn't expect much as a freshman.

^ I didn't notice any sort of dependence out of the ordinary. I think it's unlikely a right-hand dominance is going to be a major limiting factor.

Re: 2019 Recruiting
It may not be. But one can usually get by at the HS level with one hand. It's a bit of a different story at the mid-major D1 college level. I think he'll be fine once he gets through year 1.

Re: 2019 Recruiting
I think Keon did a decent job by the end of the year at the point.. I'm not sure a couple lightly recruited PG's will come in and take over their freshman year.. you never know but they may need a year.
Re: 2019 Recruiting
I'd be happy if the two point guards coming in got 18-20 minutes combined early on and then earned more minutes as the season progresses. As freshmen if they earn the minutes they should get the minutes. Build a foundation for the future.
Re: 2019 Recruiting
I think that having a year of prep school should allow them to adjust a little faster than people think.
Re: 2019 Recruiting
I hope Coty Greene is able to work some magic in getting all these young kids stronger during the summer. I think strength is the major concern with freshmen.

Kyle Lofton, Sincere Cary, Jared Bynum, Jacob Gilyard, Jalen Crutcher, Otis Livingston, Joseph Chartouny, and Jaylen Adams all suggest otherwise.TheInsider wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 8:37 am I'm not sure a couple lightly recruited PG's will come in and take over their freshman year.. you never know but they may need a year.

Re: 2019 Recruiting
He picked just the A-10 over the last 2 or 3 years... And while it may be 8 out of say 50-75 freshman guards.... It's not an insignificant amount.
Re: 2019 Recruiting
^ A cursory glance will show you that a large % of the A10's top point guards are significant contributors, if not 30+mpg starters, as freshmen.
History suggests that if Mitchell & East are going to be good A10 players, there's a strong likelihood that they'll be ready for a major role as freshmen.

Fair enough... either way, we shall see. A whole lot of things need to come together this season... if we're to be at all successful.

That's true, but it feels like people are a lot more optimistic about the future of the program today then they were in March.
