Around the A10 (2019-2020)
Figured I’d start up this year’s version of Around the A10 to give us something to talk about during the dog days of summer.
Overall, league will almost certainly be much better than it was last season.
Grady and JAG both coming back to Davidson, VCU keeping everyone important, Dayton losing Cunningham but bringing it a slew of P5 transfers. All of those teams could easily be ranked at one point or another. Rhody, Bonas should be contenders, and teams like SLU, Mason, Richmond, and Duquesne should be pretty tough.
Fordham, Joe’s and GW will likely have tough years because of roster turnover/coaching changes, but everyone outside of those teams should be either relatively the same or better.
Where do you all see us finishing in that landscape? Right now, I think anywhere in the 7 to 11 range seems like a fair expectation. We shouldn’t be as bad as the three aforementioned, but it’s tough to see us making the leap to top 6 as well unless this freshman class is nothing short of miraculous. Thoughts?

I have no idea where we are going to finish. Doubt it’s top five but any spot after that I could see a case for.

Too early to tell, still some moves to be solidified across A10. Good to have this starting point, thanks.

Even after Hurley leaves the Rams, URI is still bringing in solid recruits. They just got the commit from a 4 Star Shooting Guard, Elijah Wood.

I also saw that Toppin has withdrawn from the draft and will return to Dayton. The league will be much stronger at the top this year.

Obi is coming back. Kellan and JAG are coming back. VCU returning its best players. Bona returning 3 great freshmen. Rhode Island returning its core of studs. Newcomers across the league coming in. Gimme the Atlantic 10 all day. Wake me up when it’s November.

No, they signed the actor who played Frodo.

SLU won't be getting the services of Mike Lewis II.

I wonder what the story is there. I didn't follow the Mike Lewis to SLU developments at all.

St. Louis is still loaded, although their full roster is unclear given tweets like this:

I don't think June 4 happened yet.

LaSalle just added a 4* player (ESPN.com) in Sharif Kenney. Here's why I don't trust star ratings. He had a lot of high level offers, but they were all in 2016 and 2017. I don't know for sure, but something must have happened.

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)
those 2 (think it's Goodwin BTW) and also they have Terrence Hargrove, a 4* recruit and I thought they had 1 other, but now am not sure. They have 2 huge centers coming, one a 7', 3* guy. I think Coach Ford will get it done.
Dayton, VCU and Davidson seem better, but SLU strikes me as in that next group with Rhode Island and Bona. That whole top half of the league looks tough. As much as last year was disappointing for how bad the A-10 became, this coming year I'm looking for upside surprises.
Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)
^ Yes, Goodwin. The only place Hargrove is a 4* recruit is ESPN whose rankings are a steaming pile of shit. Those big men could be good I guess, but it's not common you have 2*/3* 6'10" and up big men who are ready to contribute much as freshmen. I think Ford is a mediocre bench coach, and he's got a less talented roster coming up than he did this past season.
