I wonder if he thicker because he got hurt and couldn't work out most of the summerFloyd wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 3:21 pm He's a bigger kid naturally, wonder why they'd want to bulk him up more. I noticed he was thicker this past season, not surprised it may have contributed to his injuries. I think if he was a little lighter and quicker he could provide some decent depth. Alright! He'll be coached by Mike Babul.

Yeah, you could be right. I was just basing that off the comments made by OFFSeason. I like KTM. In the little he's played, he's rebounded and blocked some shots. Little foul prone, but a bit lighter may help him avoid some of those. But looks like he's got a good attitudeUMassfan_19 wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 3:45 pmI wonder if he thicker because he got hurt and couldn't work out most of the summerFloyd wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 3:21 pm He's a bigger kid naturally, wonder why they'd want to bulk him up more. I didn't see off-season comment when I commented. I don't mind bulking up to be stronger but to me he did a bit more than bulk up with muscleFloyd wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 6:42 pmYeah, you could be right. Has to be some level of concern with all these transfers, esp many of the ones McCall brought in, what kind of culture was built that drove so many away. The Kellogg holdovers like Pipkins and McLean are not a big surprise using their grad year option and the other walk-on who said he was leaving to go to a non-NCAA D2 school is not a big loss but the other ones McCall brought in jumping ship raise eyebrows for sure. Esp after he cleaned house of his coaches.

IMO he made a mistake of trying to get a quick fix in a situation where he was pressed for time and reached on a few players who were not good enough or had the right mentality. Also some of the guys IMO left because the assistant who recruited them left. I think Tre was very close to cliff warren and when he shown the door he was gonefenway617 wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 2:27 pm Has to be some level of concern with all these transfers, esp many of the ones McCall brought in, what kind of culture was built that drove so many away. Not sure it was a mistake as much as a survival move. He had to field a team. He may not have been expecting seven players to leave so he was scrambling. And then Jalen Brantley was scratched with a medical issue and things kind of bottomed out. The next year Hines and Baldwin left and Holloway was ineligible for half the season. I think MM was more a victim of circumstances than the cause of the dumpster fire that describes his first two seasons. I'll reserve judgment to see what this new group of recruits can do.UMassfan_19 wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 2:31 pmIMO he made a mistake of trying to get a quick fix in a situation where he was pressed for time and reached on a few players who were not good enough or had the right mentality. DK is not discriminating as to which UMass institution he is pilfering from:

Re: Who will not be back next year?
So, who would win a game between next year's UMass roster and the players we lost, transfers + Holloway?

Re: Who will not be back next year?
I think that's a stretch even without Holloway. Of course the transfers would have no one to guard Mitchell so he might go off on whoever was guarding him but I still think the transfers would take the freshmen.

Next year's roster in a blowout.
