The company I used to work for did business with the Carney brothers so I had prior knowledge of the Wichita connection.Early History. Pizza Hut was founded in 1958 by brothers Dan and Frank Carney in their hometown of Wichita, Kansas. When a friend suggested opening a pizza parlor—then a rarity—they agreed that the idea could prove successful, and they borrowed $600 from their mother to start a business with partner John Bender.

If we're talking Wichita, you can't forget about Koch.
But I'm not sure we're one to talk. It's not like the surrounding area around UMass is a bustling metropolis.

My final piece of info on Wichita. The Carney's were very proud when talking about their home town.
Although building the first jet started in Switzerland, the tooling for building the aircraft was moved to Wichita, Kansas, in 1962. Bill Jr stated that it took too long to get anything done in Switzerland despite the cheaper labor costs.[5] LearJet was in a temporary office which opened in September 1962 while the plant at Wichita's airport was under construction. On February 7, 1963 assembly of the first Learjet began. The next year, the company was renamed the Lear Jet Corporation.

Screw those Pizza Hut crap eating flatlanders and the Lear Jet they flew in on.

He’s been added and doing things in that capacity as he tied up loose ends at WA...not sure why there hasn’t been an announcement.

Re: State of the program
They will wait to announce all the assistants at once I bet. Also wouldn't be surprised if it is like football where the paperwork wasn't officially done yet the coaches were recruiting. Saw walfish tweet some of the football assistants didn't have there contracts finalized as late as 3 weeks a go
Re: State of the program
I think I saw it mentioned somewhere on here as well, there are probably some technicalities that need to be handled with the hiring of a "state" employee as well. We have Tre and TJ's NLI's and if he's out there recruiting as a UMass assistant then it is already done.

Any idea what’s going on?...still 3 roster spots to fill.TheOFFSeason wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 7:35 pm He’s been added and doing things in that capacity as he tied up loose ends at WA...not sure why there hasn’t been an announcement.

Jarvis?
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.
Re: State of the program
Have to assume he's referring to Maurice Joseph. He's from Montreal Canada, and assuming he has Canadian connections, those would probably be more worthwhile at UMass than at GW due to the closer proximity.TruBluMaroon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 9:00 amHave to narrow that down some, there have been a lot of ex GW head coaches......lol
