UMass playing late due to Hockey East thinking we will bring in big ticket revenue if we play later.

Either going to be BC or BU. Lowell was just eliminated by BU.

I don't know if I want BC. They've played Providence tough all 3 games. They're currently tied now in the 3rd period.

Providence may well have played themselves out of the NCAA tournament. Right now, Hockey East only has UMass and NU as locks.

Providence probably gonna drop to 13 or 14 in the PairWise they better hope not too many upsets in the conference finals.

Providence is now 14 in Pairwise. I don't think they are going to make it. Will take a million things going right for them to get in.

Let’s help’em out by eliminating BC

Atlantic Hockey Champ will take 1 spot
BIG champ will take another (Ohio State was the only one in front of Providence in Pairwise and they're eliminated already)

As far as I know there aren't any others that have already taken a bid, so Providence might get in as the very last at large team.

Friday's line up:

No. 3 Northeastern vs. No. 5 Boston University, 4 p.m.
No. 1 Massachusetts vs. No. 7 Boston College, 7:30 p.m.

Let's eliminate BC! Providence gave us fits, and BC knocked them off at Providence. Expect a tough, close game. Maybe our older, more physically mature players will persevere. :)

Pretty sure four of us will be attending. Drive down, have dinner, etc.

There are a handful of teams still playing that have a higher pairwise than PC: BU, BC, Brown just for starters. So being 14th is on paper thin ice - one more upset winner of a conference tournament is all it takes and as you mentioned B1G will get two teams in now where only one was expected.

This is a fun tool to play with: https://pwp.uscho.com/rankings/pairwise-predictor/

I couldn't find a scenario where PC is out, yet.

If Brown wins ECAC tourney (however unlikely), ECAC gets 5 (!!!) teams in.

Oh, and I, for one, am pretty glad that UMass doesn't have to sweat out the tourney weekend...

I think most scenarios that knock out Providence are based on some combination of two of: a.) either BU/BC winning Hockey East; b.) Bowling Green winning the WCHA; c.) Brown winning the ECAC.
