Who will not be back next year?
Who will not be back next year?
There has been a lot of discussion here and on twitter about players transferring. Who do you think will be gone? Not "who do you want gone", but who do you realistically think will go.
Re: Who will not be back next year?
Oops, let me go back in and check off who will NOT be back next year.

I guarantee that Holloway won't be back next year. That's all I'm sure about at this point, though.

I voted... but man this thread is depressing.

Brian, the whole season has been depressing. A few new bodies can't hurt as long as they are replacing the ones that should go.

How about this poll, How many season ticket holders won't be back next year?

^ A better poll might be "How many BB STH will switch to Hockey season tickets next year?" I have to be honest. I have been a BB STH for a while, and have generally gone to 1 or 2 hockey games. I've gone to 7 hockey games this year and the thought of switching has crossed my mind.

I'll be back. Love my UMass hoops. Plus it'll be that much sweeter when they get to the top of the A10, and maybe my seats will be better too. Plus buying tix helps the program so you can't be disappointed if you're not helping to try to solve the issue.

Maybe the subject should be what tweets or facebook comments will be on the tickets from Ryan and Steve Bamford?

Do you guys really think that any of the transfers would leave?

Re: Who will not be back next year?
The probability that a player will transfer is ~28%. (Post-Fr: ~7%, Post-So: ~13%, Post-Jr: ~12%)
But hold on, that sums to 32%, not 28%? That's because the probability that a player will transfer again, given that they've transferred once is ~15%.
Highest flight risk two-timer demographic? RS Jrs. About a third of players who transfer post-junior (grad-transfers, but not necessarily) are transferring for the second time in their college career.
That may not have any impact on the UMass situation, but it's something to chew on. Could any of the transfers leave? It's not unforeseeable. Some of them have been getting fewer minutes and minutes per game than they were at their old schools. They haven't had many wins to contribute to. And if they're not bought into to what McCall is selling, then.... ya know?

Re: Who will not be back next year?
It looks like a lot of people think Hayward will leave, which I sort of get because he hasn't played much, but wouldn't he have to sit out another year and lose eligibility if he does? Unless he's on track to graduate. Any insight?
