Honestly, it may have something to do with practicing at the Cage, what kind of shape is that floor in? The Cage floor is a portable floor, which is far easier on the legs than a permanent floor, like the one at the Champions Center.

WOW!! You really have to be desperate to come up with that one! Do you recall all of the injuries during last years WMass tournament??

Why are they fouling when they are down 22 with 90 seconds left?

Early in the second half i took it off of my TV and left it on my computer monitor occasionally checking out the score. This team is bad.

It is hard for a MASH unit to be competitive. 5 dudes out with Clergeot quickly joining them. That's pretty nuts.

I know we have injuries, but judging from what I saw and what coach said in post game I think a lot of the team has checked out. And as a fan I am getting close to checking out too!

I hear what are you are saying about the injuries Joleon, but that first half was ridiculous. If you are overmatched that’s fine, you might lose and you might lose big, but you can still compete. I don’t think they competed tonight - and that’s been a way-too-persistent theme this season even when healthy.

This whole season has been a mess and clearly things need to change. I expect a lot of turnover. And hopefully McCall figures out how to get everyone to buy in and care as much as he does. If he doesn’t, well, then the biggest issue will be him.

A dismal performance though, sadly, not unexpected

Man I just watched the McCall presser. It seemed like a therapy session more than a press conference. The guy gives a shit I’ll say that.

I watched more of the McCall post-game conference that I did the actual game. That's something. And I had to transcribe some of the stuff he said, because it says a lot about where we're at...

McCall: They (Dayton) run the same stuff we do. So we've been guarding this stuff since July. Our white line protection was awful. Our pick & roll coverage was bad. They had us spinning around defensively. It wasn't how we were guarding or what we were doing, it was just effort. That's the bottom line. I mean, Randall West led us in rebounding! The guy had 6 rebounds! I mean, that's effort. That's all it is. We can scheme and talk and this and that, it's all effort, man. It's all effort.

Reporter: Does that sum up the night, the fact that Randall plays 7 or 8 minutes and gets 6 rebounds?

McCall: 9 minutes, 6 rebounds. 9 minutes. Other guys play 32, 32, 20, 34, 26, 14, 21. He got 6 in 9 minutes. He has no clue what he's doing on offense. Zero. But he can impact the game because of how hard he plays. And you know what, he's genuinely upset in that locker room that we lost. He was genuinely happy after the St. Joe's game that we won. I didn't get a sense, when I was in that locker room the other day, after we beat St. Joe's, that every single guy in that locker room was really really happy that we won. Didn't get that. That's team. You hurt together when you lose, you're upset when you lose, and then when we win, regardless if I played 30 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 minute, I'm genuinely happy to see my teammates have success, and to see us have success. We're not there yet. And that's why we can't win and win consistently. Bottom line.

McCall -- "We acted like we didn't wanna be there. That's about as blunt and completely honest I can be." Starts off the conference bemoaning the fact that guys can't show up on time for a 2 o'clock shoot around and wonders how serious they can be about playing basketball.

This roster has to be almost completely flushed to give McCall any chance to prove he can be a solid D 1 basketball coach.
