Re: Game 25, 2018-19: at George Mason (2/13)
I thought taking RH out real late last night was a mistake. He was proving to be enough of a distraction down low that I think it could have opened up things a bit more. That's a tough balance, though, so I don't begrudge McCall for it when you've gotta deal with the other side of it... fouling RH to get his poor free throw shooting on the line.

It looked like he was playing offense/defense with RH/Baptiste, I'm assuming due to RH having 4 fouls. I posted it earlier but if RH was in on that final free throw he probably grabs that rebound... My guess is there was what 3 or 4 seconds left so in theory it didn't matter if he was on the floor because he wouldn't have been able to get into an offensive play in that limited time... That also assumes your 6'10 center you have on the floor jumps for the rebound.

I just wish these guys would practice their foul shots. Wecan't afford to miss a lot of foul shots especially when we get a few like last night.

I would assume that they practice foul shots.

Evidently not enough.
Back in the 50's our high school BB coach would track the misses. So until the next game after practice they would HAVE TO MAKE 10 shots for every missed shot after regular practice. If coach would do that I am sure that the guys would be missing a lot less. Concentration.

Clearly they need some help with FTs. They are 263rd in the country.

^ Agree, especially Cobb. WTF, how does a shooter/scorer not be a better ft shooter?

He shot 60.7% his sophomore year at Fairfield and 67.9 his freshman year. Getting progressively worse.

Pipkins is currently 4th on the team in FT%. Can you name the top 3? (Hint: You can't.)

Keon is def one, then I'll say Heyward and West (maybe he's like 1/1 or something )

Without looking I will say McLean. I know he was 6/6 in one game.

I didn't realize that Mike Pagliara still had eligibility.

Nope. Laurent. Pagliara is 11th among those who have attempted 100 or more. Of course Laurent hasn't made 100 yet, and might not as a Minuteman.
