Glad he did not sign with the Panthers so I can still root for him.

Bears reach NFL’s 53-man roster limit
Posted Sep 2, 2017
The Bears reached the NFL's mandatory 53-man roster limit Saturday by placing five players on injured reserve and cutting 30 others, including receivers Victor Cruz and Tanner Gentry.

Hope he can catch on somewhere soon.

We have exactly one guy on an active NFL roster right now - Vlad is hanging on with the Bills.

So, how does season-ending IR (which is where Tajae wound up) work? Does he still get a paycheck from the Titans?

Yikes, our program really is in shambles. We used to consistently have 3-5 on a roster at any given time when we were fcs.

Couple of players in the CFL, though:

Marken Michel, Calgary Stampeders
Jovan Santos-Knox, Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Kevin Bourgoin, who played in the early '90s, also is the running backs coach for Winnipeg.
I wrote this ... it's gotta be true.

Yesterday on the train to MetLife stadium, my friend told me that he saw several fans wearing Victor Cruz jersey's. His spirit is still in the air.

Giants had 4 receivers go down with injuries today. Maybe Vic will get a call.

Unless I missed something, it seems Victor's football playing days may be behind him. His injuries must have taken too great a toll on his speed and agility. Can another year of rehab get him back to where someone will sign him? Best of luck to him in whatever the future holds.

Victor is one of our all time football greats and is well loved by Big Blue fans everywhere. I'm guessing he has been preparing himself for this new opportunity for some time; best wishes for a long career as a successful broadcast analyst.
