Beer & Wine
Re: Beer & Wine
It will be interesting to see how many stations they have for booze sales and what the lines look like.

It would be great to have runners for each section to serve beer/wine. Great job for students looking to make some dough with tips.

Re: Beer & Wine
They do have runners for fans with Courtside seats who were able to purchase beer last year. It may be tougher to do on a much larger scale.

I think in Mass the law is you can serve beer at 18 years old.

Re: Beer & Wine
Correct, unless something has changed recently. Only bars that can't have an 18-20 year old server is a cigar bar due to the 21+ smoking laws.

One easy way to implement this is to have ID check stations at every entrance. Patrons can get their ID checked and be issued a wristband. Vendors will look for a wristband when someone purchases alcohol. It will help speed up lines at vendors and make it easier to enforce alcohol laws.

Re: Beer & Wine
This is the answer. The ID check stations should be inside and be voluntary in the sense that the only people in the line of an ID check station are people who want their ID checked. No additional burden on people trying to get in or trying to buy non-alcoholic menu items.UMass02 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 11:07 amOne easy way to implement this is to have ID check stations at every entrance. I beg to differ. It's one person behind the other.
Re: Beer & Wine
Agreed. Makes no sense to check EVERY identification. UConn does this at Rencheler and it works well.UMass87 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 1:13 pm

My sources have told me that there will be 21 and over alcoholic fountains as well next to the water fountains. You have to pay $10 for an all game bracelet to be able to use it.
