Game 8: vs App St.

Post by Cahoonaville » Sun Oct 22, 2017 12:04 pm

This Saturday 3:30PM at McGuirk. Last game of season at McGuirk, band day should help boost numbers. Hopefully another win will follow. I'll be there, anyone else?

Even though we had a great game against Geo Southern I don't think that we will have much of a chance to beat App St. They have a pretty good team. One thing they have, and have always had, is kickers that can put it into the end zone. Therefor no returns. Every one of out starts on offense after they score will be starting on the 25 yard line. Just hope that we can keep the game close.

This will be a relatively easy 7-10 pt win. 41-31.

Holy Moley, App State is light years better than GaSo, and well ahead of our program in development. This will be a tough test.

App St is our Bowl Game. I really hope Whip is given a vote of confidence. We are so close to being a legit independent team that I really hope Whip gets 2-3 more years to make it happen. I would totally stick with Whip. We are ready to rock and roll.

Even with App State's career leader in TD passes, they didn't destroy Coastal Carolina (37-29) despite their QB throwing for the school's second most yards in a single game (427). Next Saturday, maybe they'll still tee up the ball and kick off to start the game. Purely speculation, but the final score may not be 3-2.

Congrats on your first win of the season! Wish I could make it to Amherst for App State, as we played them in the Camelia Bowl two years ago and really learned respect for their program. They travel EXTREMELY well for FB, as I think many of you know, so you should have a nice group of Black and Gold in the stadium this weekend, and your best traveling crowd in Amherst in your FBS tenure. Good luck!
