FBS Playoff
FBS Playoff
Huge shake up in the top ten this week. Right now I see it as
1. Alabama/Georgia winner
2. Penn St
3. Alabama/Georgia Loser
4. TCU
5. Miami
6. Ohio St
7. Oklahoma (huge controversy here if both OK and Ohio St go 12-1)
8. Pac 12 winner (USC, Wash, Wash St)
9. South Florida (headed for 13-0)
10. Wisconsin (could go 12-0 but I don't think they can win B1G title)
others in no order: NC St, Clemson, Va tech, Mich, Mich St, ND, Ok St, UCF

Re: FBS Playoff
Just don't see Bama losing this year but you never know in the Championship game.
Re: FBS Playoff
Go Badgers! Their true freshman running back Jonathan Taylor is something special. Fell 14 yards short of becoming the first freshman running back in NCAA history to reach 1,000 yards in just 6 games. Not sure they can beat Penn State or Ohio State, but their path to the BIG 10 Championship game is pretty well set.
Re: FBS Playoff
Penn State has a perilous road to the playoff with games vs. Ohio State and Michigan and a possible playoff vs. Wisconsin. If they come out of all that with one loss, they have a chance. I agree the SEC could get two in with 'Bama and UGA, but I think you're crazy virtually eliminating Clemson (if indeed that's what you're doing by ranking them out of the top 10). The Syracuse loss will be viewed as a one-off and they can still get in with one loss if they win the ACC championship. The big question is how soon Kelly Bryant comes back. The deepest leagues in terms of quality are clearly the ACC and the B1G. TCU is the Big 12's only hope and they might not get a lot of respect from the committee, and the Pac 12 is in big trouble after last weekend. No reason why USF shouldn't be the G5 representative on New Year's Day if they go unbeaten.stevemaz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2017 6:18 am Huge shake up in the top ten this week. Right now I see it as

Re: FBS Playoff
yea, just not a big believer in Clemson and think they will lose another game. Miami likely to lose too setting up trouble for ACC. I will be surprised if Bama and UGA are not 12-0 heading into SEC title game. Notre Dame is also lurking and with win over USC this week they will move up.

Re: FBS Playoff
Please, anyone other than State Penn...
Re: FBS Playoff
So much for that death sentence for Penn State from a few years ago
Re: FBS Playoff
^ That penalty was a complete joke. They should have got the death penalty but didn't. That school is so repulsive to me now, you couldn't pay me to root for them. And no, I don't care one bit that nobody involved in that horrific scandal is still there.
Living in Wisconsin now I've adopted the Badgers as my "non-UMass" team. I really hope they meet Penn State in the Big 10 Championship and end their playoff hopes. Heck, who cares if Wisconsin does it to them as long as it happens. They will forever be the filthiest of programs to me.

Penn State Twitter is the worst Twitter. Can't believe how many people still have their heads buried in the sand about the culpability of EVERYONE around what was going on there.

Re: FBS Playoff
Penn Staters are a special breed of delusional. Must be something in the water out there.

Re: FBS Playoff
Wisconsin 3rd? Playing in that joke called the Big Ten West? They will lose to a two-loss team in the B1G championship game. I don't understand why you continue to disrespect Clemson. So far, the committee has it right and you don't.stevemaz wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 7:46 am After week 10:

Re: FBS Playoff
That is Steve's B1G bias showing through - it is only a matter of time before they are a conference mate of Umass Plus, last time I checked, Steve IS NOT on the actual committee that makes these decisions....DrG wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 11:26 amWisconsin 3rd?
