Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
Any word on Ford's condition?
Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
Looking forward to playing them. They are far and above my favorite MAC team. Hope we are health enough to to bring home a victory. Have not brought a victory cigar a game, but may do so for this one. A win would be sooooooo sweeeeet!!!!
Go UMass!!
Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
I wouldn’t get too over confident. This might be the best team we have played to date this season. I’m looking forward to the hockey exhibition game and the hockey exhibition tailgate.

Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
I don't whether any of UMass' players or coaches are Jewish but it sucks to have a game on Yom Kippur!
That said, here's hoping that they come home energized by Saturday's showing and get their first win of the season!

Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
So if Yom Kippur is on Friday, how long are you supposed to fast for? All day Friday? Hopefully they eat a big breakfast early Saturday morning!
Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
The HOF Induction Ceremony is also on Friday night; not the first time they scheduled it on these holidays.
The angle of incidence = the angle of reflection: REBOUND!
Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
^^Yom Kippur and the fast that goes along with it begin at sunset Friday, and ends at sunset Saturday.
It's the most solemn date on the Jewish calendar. The fact that it falls on the Sabbath makes it an even more significant event. Observant Jews will attend services on Friday night and will also be in synagogue most of the day on Saturday.
^ Insensitive scheduling to say the least.

Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
I'm completely offline on Yom Kippur. However, I'll tape the game and watch it during the break-fast over bagels. It wont be hard to tune out the talk of the score in Synagogue as I'm sure im the only one there with a rooting interest in the Minutemen. LS- Shofar is around 7:23 p.m. in New York. L'Shanah Tovah

To my Jewish brethren may you be inscribed
in the book of life for the next year, having an easy fast
For my friends who believe in the primacy of one G-D
or the existence of a Devine existential spirit
wishing you the blessings for the next year that this country affords. And, to UMass fans, a run of good fortune
for the remaining season .

Re: Game 6: vs Ohio
I would have preferred that this game have been scheduled as a night game to accommodate for Yom Kippur - the fact that it wasn't is unfortunate to put it mildly. That said I will be at the game and looking forward to a good game. Hopefully UM will continue to improve week to week and hopefully we catch some good luck and come out w/a Win.
