2017 Season
Re: 2017 Season
Yeah, I kind of think 0-4 is a little worse than 0-1, but what do I know?

These articles about UNT interest me because in some ways, I think they are very similar to us.

Except for the fact that they are winning some games, sure they are just like umassnighttrain777 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 11:28 am These articles about UNT interest me because in some ways, I think they are very similar to us.

I didn't say they were "just like umass". I said I thought they were similar to us in some ways. But bully for you, though, for noticing that UNT has won more games than us. Right on the money as usual.eldonabe wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 12:27 pmExcept for the fact that they are winning some games, sure they are just like umassnighttrain777 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 11:28 am These articles about UNT interest me because in some ways, I think they are very similar to us.

Re: 2017 Season
WTF, Colorado has a 30-year-old freshman kicker making 50-yard field goals. How is that possible and why can’t we get guys like that?

Re: 2017 Season
UMass might be able to find a 50 year old freshman that can make 30 yard FGs.

Re: 2017 Season
UMass at #127 (out of 130). We're the best 0-5 team in the country. Even ranked higher than a couple 0-4 teams.

Re: 2017 Season
The analytics continue to be favorable ... well, as favorable as they can be when you're 0-5.
No. 111 in ESPN's FPI. No. 108 in SB Nation's Football Study Hall.
As noted on the SEC Network broadcast Saturday, UMass has been atrocious in starting field position all season -- only two drives starting in opposing territory in five games (and one of those Saturday at the Vols 48). No surprise it is ranked 130th offensively and 129th defensively in that category.
Also no surprise, Sack rates and Special Teams continue to be terrible.

0-6 and ESPN still says 19 teams in the country are worse than we are, including Coastal Carolina, which beat us handily. We are still 111. Of Note, UConn is 117, Old Dominion, 109 and Hawai'i is 108. Future opponent FIU ranked 123, despite a 3-1 record.

0-6 and haven’t lost by more than 10 must mean something in their metrics.78 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2017 10:40 am 0-6 and ESPN still says 19 teams in the country are worse than we are, including Coastal Carolina, which beat us handily. Re: 2017 Season
I had to look it up to find which game spoiled our perfect record:
Jim Clark @In_The_Slot 42 seconds ago
With its 0-6 start, UMass is now 1-26 overall in August and September since moving up to FBS in 2012.
Quick now - what was our win? (think 2016)

Not a subscriber so can't read the entire article, but Blaudschun has a take on the UMass and UConn programs:

Well Blaudschun is an asshole so I am sure the rest of the article has a Ron Chimelis tone to it.78 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2017 4:34 pm Not a subscriber so can't read the entire article, but Blaudschun has a take on the UMass and UConn programs:
