Sorry for all my posts about Comis. He really can’t throw as well as Ford, but with this O line it doesn’t matter.

So, you're saying that Whipple maybe knows his team better than the posters at umasshoops.com ? ;-)

A not so difficult endeavor usually, but sadly that was funny.

Did Ford get hurt?? Saw the last drive with Comis and it was awful.

I would have liked to see West come in at QB. He is a much better passer. Feel sory for the defense that played a pretty good game today. deserved better.

Ford looked like he got a head injury and went to the locker room and did not come back.

Crap.. was wondering why comis was in there.. dude just can't throw well.. he gets happy feet and panics. Hopefully the effort will continue. They should be confident and pissed going into next week.

Great game by the Defense, getting better every week.

O made some plays but it all starts with the OLine and they HAVE to get more physical.

Ford found out today why he needs to get rid of the ball quicker.

Good news....I had UMass and the points. Dinner on the football team tonight!

The color guy doing the game said several times that the UMass defensive backs were giving the Tenn receivers too much space. Just wish we could make an interception once in a while for a good run back.

The game was lost in the last 2:57 of the first half...the missed PAT and the fact that UMass couldn't keep them out of the end zone as the half drew to a close.

That point after...the game would've/should've been tied. UMass might have been pumped with a 7-7 score score at that point of the game instead of scoring a TD and still being behind.

Closer than anyone expected...but still no cigar. :(

Today shows we can hang with some P5s and belong in FBS football. Sucks that the record is 0-5 as it could be much better and I wonder where we would be if Whip made damn sure our special teams were good and we had an OC On to Ohio..

This team is totally vexing. They look putrid against competition they could beat, then hang with Tennessee. Yeah, Tennessee probably coughed up a hairball (I don't know, I didn't follow the game today), but still, holding Tennessee to 17 is an accomplishment for this defense. Sounds like the offense and special teams again cost us, where have I heard that story-line before? :?

Whatever. This score is a complete surprise to me. It reflects well on the program (defense particularly) and shows maybe this team has some fight left in it. At least we didn't look like total idiots on the big stage.

I hope Ford is OK. I'll be there next week, who could pass up a UMass blanket?

Would seem that you have to give some credit for the performance of the defense over the past few weeks to the new Defensive Coordinator. Wonder if we might see better offensive performance if we had an actual FBS Offensive Coordinator?

I really shouldn't be frustrated with a 4 point loss to Tenn but it's hard not to be. What a great game by the defense. They seem to be getting more comfortable with Pinkham's system every week.

A few years ago the offense was great but the defense couldn't stop anybody. Now the defense looks good and the offense can't get out of its own way.

How in God's name do they play this well against Tennessee (granted, this is not a good Vols' squad) and lose to first year Coastal Carolina in its first FBS game? The defense was so good today. Completely stuffed the run. The offense was putrid and the O line cannot pass block. Ford did not look good after he got hurt and I doubt he plays next week. Wonder if it is automatically Comis who starts against the Bobcats or if West gets a shot? They should beat the Bobcats next week. They probably won't.
