Baffles me that we just can't get out of our own way.

This seems like a gross oversimplification.InnervisionsUMASS wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2017 10:19 amThis x 1,000,000,000,000.

Saw those scores and it really put things into perspective for me.Cahoonaville wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 4:46 am North Carolina was able to put up 50+pts on that incredible ODU defensive front yesterday....unreal how bad UMass is right now. To make matters worse, UAB (no football team last year) was able to handle Coastal Carolina as well.
But yet we hung with Temple.....All coaching and preparation. We should be 4-0 right now. Better preparation and in game coaching was the difference in all four games. The bad thing is that very few new coaches are going to have a system that matches our current perceived skillset/talent on offense, which could mean a big rebuilding year next year. OR we could get a coach that molds his system to match the talent for once.photoman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 6:26 amSaw those scores and it really put things into perspective for me.Cahoonaville wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 4:46 am North Carolina was able to put up 50+pts on that incredible ODU defensive front yesterday....unreal how bad UMass is right now. Same here. We really should be ranked #130 in the country.photoman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 6:26 amSaw those scores and it really put things into perspective for me.Cahoonaville wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 4:46 am North Carolina was able to put up 50+pts on that incredible ODU defensive front yesterday....unreal how bad UMass is right now. I am basing my 4-0 call on what I’ve seen on the field. I get it. Should be could’ve been all are unrealistic. They have players to make the plays to win. They screwed up on every scoring play against Temple leaving 30 points on the field and lost by 8 is the last example. They don’t know how to win. They play competitively now and then cave. My comment about being 4-0 is about coaching players to win and make the plays on the field. I have no illusions that we should be near .500 since moving up. We have lost too many games, especially in the last 4 years under Whip, that were not unlucky bounces or Karma or anything else, but the coach putting players in a position to lose and not win. The losses this year are all in the category of how did we let that slip away again.78 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 11:24 am Every time I read, "we should be 4-0 right now" I break out in uncontrollable laughter. I think it was UMass87 who has posted in the past about the delusion here. He could not be more right.
Instead of 10-54 since moving to big boy land, we should be 32-32 right now. This is fun.
