Someone is on the ball. At the checkout counters of Big Y Supermarkets in Western Mass. UMass Minutemen shopping bags are being sold for $2.00 each.
Re: UMass apparel
I'm glad to see the relationship rekindle between UMass and local grocer Big Y. Don't forget that Big Y used to be a major sponsor of the Minutemen until they sponsored UConn Athletics. I still have my UMass-branded Big Y card!bottom line wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:14 am Someone is on the ball. At the checkout counters of Big Y Supermarkets in Western Mass. Re: UMass apparel
You should buy 100 and sell them on ebay for $4 each. I know I'd buy a few.bottom line wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:14 am Someone is on the ball. At the checkout counters of Big Y Supermarkets in Western Mass. UMass Minutemen shopping bags are being sold for $2.00 each.

Re: UMass apparel
Went to the "new" Campus Center bookstore last week. It looks great, and is very well merchandised. I talked to several associates who all said that the new UMass management team is far better than the former Follett team.
The buyers have also gone to great lengths to standardize on one shade of maroon. The darker maroon of the past is almost entirely out of the mix now. Almost everything is the lighter colored maroon, which you could really call Cranberry.

Pantone 202 C is the official UMass Maroon

I am so fed up with all the variants being pushed on us, I am going to wear only my eclectic garb at UM from now on.
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet; and, everything in between.

Re: UMass apparel
Looking at that umass.edu/brand website, It also appears that the "Power U" is the only recognized logo for Athletics now. Consistent with the messaging we got, but interesting that not even the state outline logo can be found on the branding website.
