Would've been better off selling wine and cheese.

Has anyone received a reason as to why UMass is dragging their feet on implementing this at athletic events?

Isn't that the purpose of the Commonwealth Club pre-game?

It's not a common practice, yet, and the fear of seemingly condoning underage drinking. It's not difficult to pass off drinks to your 18-20 year old friends. BTW I am in favor of selling beer and wine at games. I just think the school is very leery of the liabilities.DearOleUMass wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2017 7:09 am Has anyone received a reason as to why UMass is dragging their feet on implementing this at athletic events?

I suppose the Commonwealth clubs in hockey and football could be test balloons in this regard. My guess is liability insurance plays a role. I bet Meehan would sign off on booze at games - Lowell ice hockey has been selling it for years.

Considering that we use to smuggle in full 30 packs into McGuirk, no need for beer or wine Not sure this is still possible though, this is 15 years ago.
