Shatar McClay
Re: Shatar McClay
^ Comes in very highly rated by ESPN! http://www.espn.com/college-sports/foot ... tar-mcclay
Re: Shatar McClay
I'm sure that rating will decline now that he verbaled here... ESPN has been known to bump or lower ratings based on the team a kid is being recruited by.
Re: Shatar McClay
^ I was thinking the same thing. That's his committed to Tennessee grade. Now he'll get his committed to UMass grade. It's such a stupid system. But honestly, how could anyone possibly run a website that accurately ranks all these high school players. It's impossible.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

What an amazing job by Whipple and staff. Unbelievable recruit for UMass! Players ranked ATH lower than him have committed to football schools like Wisconsin, Florida State, Arkansas, Miami.. it's amazing.

^ Jumping on the bandwagon, that was his Tenn rating. With his UM rating, he will slide down past all those players you referenced.
Re: Shatar McClay
Hope he gets his academics in order. Just watched his HUDL video and he looks pretty fast.
Re: Shatar McClay
Maybe he wants to be 'THE MAN' and not worry about competition.
Or maybe he wants to re-invent himself and go far from his roots, which makes so much sense to all we alum parents whose children did NOT go to UMASS, while accepted, like mine to SOM.
Hopefully, the total experience he seeks is more than the 'small ball' of UM vs the 85K of UT.
Seems like a good to great find.

All good, I know where he originally stood.TruBluMaroon wrote:^ Jumping on the bandwagon, that was his Tenn rating. With his UM rating, he will slide down past all those players you referenced.
Re: Shatar McClay
After losing the Gold Jacket to Happy Gilmore, I'd like to see him tackle football for his next challenge.
Re: Shatar McClay
Any idea if there is anything going on with Shatar? No OV scheduled and it seems like the other 18 recruits aren't including him in their posts?
P.S. - This is my first post. Be gentle

Re: Shatar McClay
His UMass commitment is still his pinned tweet and it's obvious he has been following the team and other commits. In sad news, he posted 12/1 that he lost girlfriend in car accident. Probably why news on visit might not be out there.

Keep 'em coming! You added to our discourse with your post.
