No, it's not. At all.

And Temple currently sits at 31st in the RPI. Ole Miss and Providence also Top 50 right now.

Normally I'd assume it was a typo and let it go, but you've done this several times. "Secrete" isn't the word you're looking for here. And no it's not too early, UMass completed the OOC portion of the season and are very much in position to make the NIT.

I'm still thinking in the 9-11 win range for the conference. Hoping the defense continues to play the way it has for the most part this year (there have been a few bad stretches/halfs but overall it's been pretty damn good) -- we will be up against some pretty good experienced perimeter players (some guards and some bigger wings). If we can keep the TO's down and some of these threes starting falling more regularly we should get better on offense. It's weird, I like the 3 point shot selection more this year than last year even though we aren't shooting as well. We are definitely more effective inside the arc than we were last year so that bodes well.

Hopefully they are able to weather this tough initial stretch and regardless of their early conference record, not let it affect them the rest of the way.

^ I stand corrected. I apologize. But, it's still too early! :)

Then, by all means, refrain from the conversation.

I think that what has improved DK's coaching the most (besides the obvious talent upgrade) is the depth. If one or two or even three guys aren't having good days he can bring people off the bench who can actually help. And I give him credit for not being afraid to sit Pip or Deeky for stretches when they were off their games. Same goes for Rashaan.

He hasn't had that luxury much in the past.

Lack of depth and youth aren't arguments you can use in favor of DK. You've read this board for long enough... you should know that!

then again, Temple lost at home last night to Cincy, Providence lost by 26 to Xavier (could have been worse) and Ole Miss will likely get pounded tonight (vs Kentucky). Hoping those 3 teams look like tough opponents late in the season, but they might not. I expect these 3 teams to lose a lot given their coming schedules, although they will be losses to good teams. Would love to see UCF and Temple top their league, but my rational side says they'll be middle of the pack

Yeah I tend to agree. Just can't escape the weakness of our OOC schedule. Temple and Providence should stay pretty strong in the RPI though. They both have good coaches and will win some games. Their conference mates have pretty good records, too...other than Tulane and UConn.

I would love to see a lineup with Gresham playing alongside Holloway. Throw in Deeky, Pip and Flowers and we could have an interesting mix. Holloway would open up space for 3 shooters who would at least keep the defense modest. Deeky and Gresham could run the pick and roll which I think will eventually be a great option for the offense. Pip and Gresham provide great defensive presences in completely different manners while Gresham could likely add some help defense to Holloway when needed.

Really I could add in a bunch of players instead of Flowers but I threw him in there because I think most of us believe that he has the potential to be the best shooter.

I think Donte instead of Flowers would be a pretty sweet lineup. I've been thinking all along that Gresham with either Malik or Mt. Holloway could be an explosive pairing. Deeky, Pip, and Donte can all score, handle the ball and defend. 3 freshman, a sophomore, and a jr. Holy Mother of God how good they could be.

This really is such a deep, balanced albeit young team that has many combinations that work. Really really like the makeup of this team. Kudos to the staff for putting it all together. Should be big things happening in Amherst the next few years. Yaaaahooo

Everyone should take a look at this.. a break down of every team in the A-10 and their record against top 100 rpi teams.. for having a "soft" schedule we have played more top 100 rpi teams than everyone in our conference besides GW.. with a 3-3 record to go along with it.. I found this info pretty eye opening

I'd love to see where those teams fall at the end of the year. If all of them remain Top-100, I think most of us (myself included) will be eating some crow about the OOC being really soft.

^^ think it's because all of those gal 50-100.. we don't have any top 25 matchup, or even top 50.. was a lot of quality opponents without any very good opponents
