If they practiced there last night I would think that we would be able to practice there a few times between yesterday and game time tomorrow. I am sure the cost of using Mullins is for the day not for an individual practice.

Glad they made it. I checked out the weather in the Berkshires and out to Olean and they are expecting anywhere from 6 - 8 inches of snow. In Adams where I used to live they declared a state of emergency this afternoon and in N Adams they closed the city offices at noon. MCLA where my wife used to work actually closed the campus for today last night, students are away but closed for the staff that has to work during the holiday break. Lots of other places closing early.

I can't remember when any of our coaches have been able to go 11 deep in any game. I really enjoy the way he has been using Holloway lately. Being able to dominate inside is great and his FT shooting has improved at least the last few games.
I think he has more than 1 good thing going for him considering how everyone here would agree the team has exceeded expectations to this point in the season.

DK also deserves credit for identifying and recruiting these kids into the program. Having depth is a credit to him and his staff.

I don't know if/where Umass practiced today. I do know that the hoop floor in the Mullins Center has been setup since December 18th and will be converted to a hockey setup after the game tomorrow. St. Bonaventure practiced in the Mullins Center around 2pm today. Usually visiting team practice more in the 6pm time frame the day before a game at the Mullins Center which is prob dictated by their travel schedule. The fact they arrived a day early allowed more flexibility.

Some 3 point comparisons between the teams:

45% of our shots are from 3. 31% of SBU's shots are from 3. That's one reason they go to the line more than we do.

Adams and Mobley take most of their 3's, shooting 40 % and 42%. About half their shots are 3's. Nobody else takes more than 25% of their shots from 3.

Keep an eye on Andoh. Only 20 out of his 82 shots are 3's, but he's made 11 of them.

Our guys with the highest % of 3's taken (of all shots taken) are Flowers 75%, Pipkins 65%, Lewis 62% and Clarke 40%.

Pip and his tenacious D will be a big factor in this one and I think CJ will affect this game defensively as well. Like to see them start off pounding the ball inside and get our 4 bigs involved early. We have the horses to run when we turn them over so I hope they put the pedal down. Should be a good, exciting game. Hope they make a statement and start off league play with a big win, and I also hope there's a good crowd to fire them up

I don't ever bet on games so will someone explain what his means from a betting site:

St. Bonaventure 157 1/2 u - 10
UMass -1 1/2 u - 10.

Thanks.

157.5 is the over/under total points... - 1.5 next to Umass means we are favorited by that amount.. the -10 next to each means the juice is 10.. so must bet $110 to win $100

So what you are saying is that the 157.5 is what the bookies expect the score to be and you bet either under that or over that to win right. How can you make any money if you have to bet $110 to win $100?
Thanks for the info

As far as Kenpom is concerned, SBU will be the 2nd best team we've played to date this season. SBU currently sits at 79, with UCF, Temple and Ole Miss coming in right behind them at 81, 83 & 84 respectively. Providence was the best, they're at 66th. UMass is at 112. UMass has actually been rising in Kenpom rankings over the last 5 or so games, which makes sense as the freshmen have gotten better and Gresham has been cleared.
