For what it is worth, he did an AMA on reddit last night, I only just noticed.

Got to it a little late last night to make a comment, but he seems like a really down to earth, focused, and humble dude. Didn't make a lot of comments about UMass but I enjoyed his comment about how his dad is biggest inspiration, here.

But he didn't answer the Antonio's question, hahaha.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

Amherst native and former UMass All-American James Ihedigbo, who played with Detroit last year, hasn’t officially retired, but hasn’t signed with anyone.
If he doesn't sign with anyone in the NFL, we need to bring him back to Amherst ASAP to coach the defensive backs!

What a great story that would be. Local Amherst player walk-on to UMass, played for a national title in 2006, undrafted free agent to the Jets in 2007, played in four consecutive AFC Championship games from 2009-2012, played in a Super Bowl for the Patriots in 2011, won a Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2012, and then comes back to coach at his alma mater...
Save your breath... you'll need it to blow up your date

I think James is a few more years away from coaching. I think he's got plenty in the tank to be helpful to an NFL team. Stick with the studio stuff for now and keep busting your ass to get on a roster for the next few years.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

"Rex Ryan says safety James Ihedigbo, placed on IR yesterday, played with a fractured leg in Sunday's loss."

Sad to see this. This is probably it for him. But, sign him up to the Defensive coaching staff at UMass? Rouzier and he both from Amherst HS and UMass?

According to a graphic that the NFL Network put on-screen, the retired DIGGZ committed a face mask penalty in the third quarter of the Bills/Jets game last night.
