Dear Mr. Bamford,

How willl UMass ever position itself to land in a conference when all the "money teams (basketball, hockey, football)" continue to fail miserably?

Sincerely,

A very concerned dedicated basketball/football season ticket holder.

Your question implies he either thinks UMass will still be able to or isn't doing what he can to turn it around, no? What leads you to believe that?

22 straight losses for basketball, women's basketball and hockey. 8 straight for women and 7 each for men and hockey, 0-13 at the Mullins Center in 2016. What's an athletic director to do?

Good article by Andrew Cyr about program struggles, attendance woes and the tough decisions Bamford is going to face after the seasons.

At first I thought he was giving us the hockey team's combined record over the past 2 years.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Hahaha. In case anyone was wondering, the hockey team's record over the past two years is 19-47-6 overall and 7-32-5 in conference. That is woefully pathetic. Thanks, Mick!

It's funny that he made the joke of 4-27-15 being a hockey record but it actually] has more points (23) than our real in conference record (19) that Marshmont provided. Granted the real record has 2 games in hand so if they win both outright it's a tie. YIKES.

Looking at the news over the last couple of weeks, it seems that the Hockey program is far ahead of WBB in terms of recruits/transfers, etc. Not knocking Verdi, but we haven't seen any positive news out of WBB yet.

In all fairness to Verdi also WBB dresses about half the players of Hockey... So that means we should only expect half the news... So I guess he is still behind 8)

OK, so who is starting the rumors that Bamford is interviewing for the GT job?
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)
