He probably needs the position more to reestablish his credibility
and we are financing his career rehabilitation. We basically hired an unqualified
untested overmatched nub of a coach, suffered the ridicule of everyone;the players endured
the equivalent ofdomestic abuse, and we are enabling his make over.

His house in Belchertown may have finally sold after 8 months on the market. It was listed for $849K and the listing was removed in late December so that will sure help him supplement the partly salary.

Sometimes people remove listings because it's bad to have a house on the market for 6+ months. Typically what realtors suggest is removing the listing and relist in the spring time, which is when families with children begin looking. Also, try Zillow.com to see if it sold if you know the address.

I live three houses away from this house so he was/is essentially my neighbor. The for-sale sign was gone just after xmass. I noticed today while drive home there is a new sign real estate sign from a different company out front so it is back on the market. They apparently removed the listed to switch agents and cut the price. His family still lives there I see his wife and kids often .

Good bye neighbor! Charlie Molner finally sold his house in Belchertown a few weeks ago. And he took quite the hit on the resale. Almost a $50K loss. His family continue to live there until it was sold.

The property used to include a guest house with a pool and additional farm land. The property was split into a few different sales a few years back with different buyers for each part. At one point pre-Molner I think the whole lot went for over $1M. But yes, the house is crazy big. I was in it once before Molner bought it and the first level was never ending.

All I will say of this about CM, he could recruit. Of the 10 Umass players listed by Phil Steele, all but 1 was recruited by CM... the 1 Whip player is Froh....

^ Let's give Whip more than one year to judge his recruiting prowess. You do realize 98% of freshmen are red-shirted, don't you?

CM certainly had an advantage with his Notre Dame resume. He also had a Victor Cruz poster that was gigantic, and that year every high school football player in the country knew who Victor was. I give CM credit for using all of the tools he had available to get some good recruits to come to a new BCS program.

Whip had to sell kids on coming to a team that had won 2 games in 2 years. We'll see many of the players in his 1st class play a lot more this year and if we can win 6 or 7 games Whip will have a much easier time recruiting this off season. The major obstacle will be the lack of a conference.

I realize alot of things. My point was for all the criticism against CM, which he deserved, he was a good recruiter. Terrible human being, but a good recruiter

^^^ Terrible human seems a bit extreme. Did you ever meet the guy? How about just a bad head coach? Just because you're not good at your job doesn't make you a terrible human.

We need a FOIA request on that thing. I'd love to read what it has to say.
