Game 10: Ball State

Post by SignMan » Fri Oct 24, 2014 11:16 am

UMass Returns to McGuirk Nov. 12 with a Special Salute to Heroes
Join us on November 12 as we salute our heroes. The 8:00 p.m. home game vs. Ball State will be dedicated to all those individuals who keep us safe, including veterans, active military and first responders. There will be special dedications and participation prior to and during the game, including a guest National Anthem singer, honor guards, honorary team captains and vehicles along MinuteFan Way. Please help us celebrate these outstanding individuals and their service on November 12 when the Minutemen take on Ball State at McGuirk Stadium. For game tickets, please call 866-UMASS-TIX or visit UMass Ticket Central.

Hoping that the students have a good turnout for this one. I'm guessing the athletic department will have a free t-shirt give away since this is an ESPN2/ESPNU game (Probably going to be on The U).
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

^ Basektball attendance by students was always much better with free tee's and ESPN Lurking so hopefully this will do the same for football.

Pretty sure I am going to miss this one. Leaving Amherst around midnight for the 2-hour drive home is pretty low on my list of things I have always wanted to do. Think the Minutemen win by two touchdowns.

Should be able to make this one. First game I'll see in person this year!
I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

Interested to see what the line will be. Made a comment to the wife in the waning moments of the game the other day that I could have made a TON of money on UMass this year as I believe they are something like 7-2 with the spread. If someone was a hardcore gambler, they could be very rich right now having laid money on us and the points so far.

You could have beaten up a bookie pretty good this year by betting only UMass and the over. (Not that I'm condoning illegal gambling!)

I took off two days from work for this game, so I'll be driving up from NJ.

Can't wait. This is going to be another crazy game.

I don't know. I know a guy who took off the whole week just for the Ball State game. I think that beats me. :D

Speak for yourself. Not this old guy! I already have my travel plans set for next year to fly to see Colorado, Temple, and Notre Dame games from California. What else matters?!?
