Per VerbalCommits we have offered. It's the first I have heard of him.

Kid can play, he's drawn comparisons to Chaz from scouts. He's having a great junior year so far.

Mentions UMass as one of the three schools making him a "priority".

Good interview... Seems like a good kid.. When asked what is he looking for in a school he said "team that let's me play my game" which is exactly what DK looks for in a point guard.. Someone that he can trust to go out there and make things happen on the floor

Says he plans to sign in the fall, but doesn't sound in a hurry to decide before then. Bradley comes up first when he names schools. Man, our run to the Sweet 16 this year is really gonna help recruiting!

He's one of several point guards it sounds like they are looking at. Two kids from Memphis, that Damontrae Jefferson kid who is from Milwaukee but playing somewhere else now, the Kevin Dorsey kid from Virginia who I saw on Twitter is planning on visiting sometime, and someone else I'm forgetting. I think they are all pretty small point guards.

^ Munis Tutu might be the other one you're thinking of. DK isn't exactly calling me with updates, but from what I can piece together, it seems like we're going after Pipkins and Dorsey the hardest, but that never seems to mean too much.

When/Where did you see that Dorsey was going to visit? Hadn't heard that and I can't seem to find his Twitter.

I believe Dorsey and Tutu are both about 6' even, Jefferson is close to Chaz height, while the rest are just under 6 (about 5'10" or 5'11"). For the college game, I like smaller point guards.

According to VerbalCommits.com, two others we supposedly have offered are Nych Smith and Chris McNeal.

Both are from the Memphis area. Smith is 5-10, rated 3* by ESPN and Scout. He seems to be leaning toward Memphis at this point.

McNeal is 5-11, not rated and has no major offers yet.

Glad to see Kellogg is serious about getting a point guard in that class.

I don't have his twitter name handy at the moment -- think its like kevv or something like that (sorry I don't have more info). I saw that he had responded to someone from UMass saying he was going to visit soon they just needed to work something out.

Anywho, sounds like PG is a priority for that class.

Yeah, those are the "two kids from Memphis" and like you mentioned one seems set on Memphis and the other I got the impression UMass wasn't recruiting very hard.

Definitely glad to see PG seems like a priority for DK. Not too sure about that other scholarship though, haven't heard much about any PF/C developments lately.

I'm guessing that the other scholly will go to Melvin Swift if he doesn't qualify academically in 2014.

It'd be ok, but I'd prefer someone a little bigger who can provide a real defensive presence in the paint. Swift isn't that big, he's built like Esho, he doesn't have the heft to guard bigger players.

180 at 6'10" isn't overly big... tall, yes, but not big...

Putney is 6'9", 185....
