Maybe TV for St. Joe's
Maybe TV for St. Joe's
The Hawks' fans are talking possibilities of TV for the game, maybe CN8 or Comcast Sports. Check your local listings.

Guess not. From Philly.com today:
TV not likely. It appears that St. Joseph's fans who were hoping to see the Hawks go for their 25th consecutive win tomorrow night against Massachusetts in Amherst will not get their wish.
"So far, we've been unable to achieve the goal of bringing the St. Joe's-UMass game to the Philadelphia television market," Steve Hurlbut, associate commissioner of the A-10, said last night. "We're not optimistic things are going to change."
Hurlbut said several options were explored. Comcast SportsNet, which will televise the Temple-La Salle game at 8 p.m. as part of the A-10 package, was hoping to carry the St. Joe's game instead, but the conference did not believe it was appropriate to ask Temple and La Salle to step aside because it would put those two schools in a difficult position. Also, the conference did not consider asking UMass to change the tip-off for the game from 7 to 6 p.m.
"We don't tell our schools when to start their games unless it's prearranged because of television purposes," Hurlbut said.
Hurlbut said the conference tried to bring CN8 into the mix but the network is locked into its programming.

For those of you that are going to watch this game on the tube, be sure not to have any sharp objects lying around or you may just poke your eyes out with 'em.
I'm excited to go to the game tonight, hopefuly UMass will play with intensity -- though I won't be taking any pencils or pens with me just in case...
