Senior Spotlight #15. Ryan Henry (#9) 4 yr varsity starter at FO/M has had an amazing career at YLHS. An all county player headed to play D1 LAX at

. Ryan was having a monster senior year. A Captain, w/ over 90% FO wins & a goal a game before the season shutdown.

Hopefully signings like those above continue. Next step is signing some HS All Americans (I hope).

Of course this can change radically as it comes time to attend. Happens a lot that players change their mind!

It is also complicated due to the possibility that some seniors will come back to plan in '21.

I have not seen anything about expanding rosters nor scholly limits changes.

good point. Hadn't thought of that.

^ Kristi talked about that on Bam's first podcast yesterday. She said that she wanted to learn whether her two seniors planned to return, because if they did, she would recruit different positions (softball) to fill her remaining scholarships.

Greg was also on, but I didn't hear anything on this subject.

^^^^ Good for them. I wonder how other schools are doing with their seniors coming back. The transfer portal looks a little nuts. Seems like UMASS is not really into bringing in transfers. Anyone have any info on transfers?

I think that we have retained a strong team. My hopes are that this virus is knocked down or a vaccine is available, to actually have a full lax season.

My fear is that many athletic departments are starting to cut out/down 'minor/non-revenue' sports to meet declining revenue targets with consequent expense reductions. This is a near-daily story in sports, especially as the future of Fall '20 remains indeterminate as to enrollments/commitments by paying students. The next 2 weeks are critical, as June 1 is the final deadline for many schools for first-years to commit. Or, not...deadlines may get extended.
