Following the NCAA playoffs

Post by econalum » Tue May 07, 2019 12:21 am

Unfortunately, UMass's RPI at 20th, with only 17 teams invited, left us the 4th team out.

I think all of the 1st round games are on ESPNU.

I'll be at the Loyola/Syracuse game noon Saturday in Baltimore.

The first game is UMBC vs. Marist on Wednesday.

#5 Yale beat #1 Penn State and #3 Virginia beat #2 Duke (2 OT) today in the Final Four semis.

Yes, and Yale simply owned FOGO yielding a 10-1 lead before PSU staged a comeback, but never was within 3 goals.

IMHO, Yale is the superior team to UVA, and should win by 4 goals.

^ But on the ladies' side, the Hockey East BC Eagles lost to Maryland 12-10. This was Maryland's 14th women's lax crown. Fear The Turtle!

^ What's a Limestone?

I felt UVA was dominant throughout today - much faster, better on D and GB's. Excellent ride, very disruptive.
