Game 14: Delaware @ Garber on Friday 4/26 @ 5

Post by Old Cage » Tue Apr 23, 2019 10:15 am

Watch: https://www.laxsportsnetwork.com/

We are in the CAA tourney for sure. Win and we host. Lose and either Delaware or Towson hosts.

Delaware is 10-3 and ranked #20 in the same poll where we are #15.

Unfortunately, some rain is in the forecast, with a chance of thunderstorms. NCAA and U.S. Lax are strict on any thunder/lightning in the area. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/amher ... pc?hour=33

Big momentum game for the Gorillas. Delaware is solid, but no quality wins. Would be terrific to host CAA.

Wow- I thought that game was on Saturday. Why the Friday game? Thinking of heading to George Mason to see the women play in the CAA tourney.

UMASS needs to beat Delaware so they can host the CAA tourney. Big advantage imo.

Go Gorillas!

Friday night games are not unusual in college lax. No idea on why for this game, good question.

We have often played our last game on Friday night. Again, though, good question.

Finals are upon UMass next week. Collegian stopped printing Wednesday. Could academics be a factor? :)

Great win with a 4th qtr downpour, 11 to 9. Delaware played tough last 3 quarters, needed some key plays. Sconone had another great game in goal.

We now host next weekend!!!

Good win for the Gorillas. Dominant on faceoffs 18-6. The game shouldn't have been that close.

Congrats to UMASS- CAA regular season champs and will host the tournament next week. Great end of the season run after some tough OT losses at the beginning. GO UMASS!

Good day for UMASS lacrosse. Women won 20-11 and are headed to A-10 championship game on Sunday.

Sconone should be a first team All American. Not sure how he does it but man is he good.

Delaware goalie was pretty good today as well.

Sconone has been great but due to TV visibility, my guess is Stover from Loyola.
