The Pride are 3-7, having lost 7 of 8, but lost only by a goal to a solid Towson squad last week.

UMASS looked flat in the first half against Drexel. Hope they don't take Hofstra too lightly especially with how they played against Towson. GO Gorillas!

6-4 Gorillas at the half. Two long pole goals from Isaac Paparo. The Pride goalie has kept them in it.

Horrible loss. Sloppy play by UMASS. So many turnovers when trying to clear. Every time they pressure UMASS they seemed to turn it over. Never should have gone to OT. UMASS needs to wake up or the season may come to an early end. FO was dominant but UMASS could not take advantage.

We lose to a team with one guy who scores six times - who we can't seem to cover - and a goalie who was outstanding, but "sloppy" used in an above post was too kind.

In my view, agreeing with all of the above, I think we were too cute trying to kill clock and losing an attack mindset, assuming we could just turn it and off at will.

CAA is a one team bid league, so still all about the winning the playoffs.

When a team dominates at X like UMass did today, it should never lose a game. Gotta make and win the CAA playoffs.

Watching UMASS trying to clear was painful. It was like a basketball team that doesn't know how to break a press. Also, they should have been more aggressive at the end. Trainor had two chances right at the goal mouth.

Hofstra did not win a FO in the 4th period and OT. How do you lose????

By being timid and not following through what got you the lead all game.

They are not as good as they think they are. And need to push for 60 minutes. I am also getting a bit sick of a close defenseman looking for his own shot (Paparro).
