Makennah White

Post by Floyd » Mon May 08, 2023 10:59 am

Just read that Makennah White transferred to Seton Hall. Big loss for the women's team in my opinion. I thought she was very good here and I enjoyed watching her play here & elevate the program. Wish her the best in her new career at Seton Hall

Kinda sad to see all the talent leave from a very entertaining team. Wonder why they all bailed out after seeming so tight as a team

I agree. I thought she was more versatile than Ngalakolandi. And a good leader organizing the defense.
Maybe she just saw the ship sinking with Verdi departure? T try seniors/grads leaving and the rest of the nucleus hitting the portal. Tough situation for the new coach.

They were the Savage Seven (less Stepanie) and were bonded like no other group starting together for 3+ years. I don't think they wanted to be part of a rebuild here and just agreed to finish somewhere else and go their separate ways!

A bit off topic, but is anyone else curious why none of them went to Pitt with Verdi?

Probably didn’t want a possible rebuild.

If they all stayed, what rebuild? Still would have had lots of talent, experience, and depth. I think kids just can't stay in 1 place anymore
