Gotta think that there is stuff going on behind the scenes recruiting wise, but the silence here is deafening.

I concur. There's never been that much noise on the WBB front, but there's legit no noise right now. I just tweeted at the WBB account on twitter... we'll see if there's any response.

^ Be nice if Verdi can find a recruit or two to replace the two players who transferred. Wait and see I guess.

Seems like a strange thing to do after just one year, but we've seen crazier here at the Zoo. Anyone have any insight as to what prompted this?

^ Coach Cal had something similar when he was here. Extend the contract to generate free publicity, generate goodwill and show the public (recruits) that your coach is doing a good job and will be here for your career. I don't imagine that there was much national womens' news, so it could be the top national story of the day, or at least have the potential.

I think his performance with basically half a team last year proved that he'll be successful. I like the move. Congrats to coach Verdi.

^ Agree! Tony Verdi did a lot last season with very little. Looking forward to nest season with more of HIS recruits on board.

Definitely going to some of the women's games nest season.
