Getting it started.

does she think the school, or the program, is "on the rise"? The latter seems questionable...
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

I'd assume that UMass' new associate AD Griffin would supervise women's basketball. She was a stellar HS player in Texas and at Texas Tech. She has also supervised ball programs at other schools. Perhaps she can help Dawley and her staff elevate the program.

Considering we now have an ex-WNBA player on staff, I'm hoping SHE can help Dawley elevate the program!!

If you're talking about Yolanda Griffith, I think she was a big help this season and expect to see even more improvement going forward.

Just browsing around the board, had no idea Yolanda Griffith is an assistant for UMass, she was an absolute beast in the WNBA back in her day. I don't even watch the WNBA and I know that... her and Tina Pinechiero (edit: Ticha Penicheiro) back in the day killed it together.. yes, I swear I don't watch the WNBA.

Their 12 wins last year was the most since the 2008-09 season and only three less than the last three years COMBINED. Hopefully they continue to get better but I worry a lot of that was because of Kim Pierre-Louis who has graduated.

Perhaps the JFK* Champions Center will help improve the women's program!

*not that JFK, the other one

Ladies were picked 13th in the A-14. No big surprise there.

Last year, we finished in a 4-way tie for 10th place at 5-11, but tie-breakers brought us down to the 13th seed. We did, at least, win that first round game.

Nice contributions from a couple of newcomers. Freshman Bria Stallworth, 19 points and 6 assists. Transfer Alyssa Lawrence, 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists.
