^ Apparently the third time was the charm as UMass beat the Bonnies yesterday, 55-49.

They're playing Richmond at 2 pm

Lost to Richmond. Think the score was 67 - 64.

Good effort against a much higher seed. They lost by 20 when they played at Richmond earlier this year.

Big improvement this year, let's hope this is the beginning of big things for the ladies program going forward.

Hopefully, the improvement will convince some good recruits to come to UMass.

A big reason they started winning this year is KPL who went off for 18.4 ppg and 7.4 rpg.

I'm worried about what that means for next year but their second leading scorer is just a freshman so hopefully she'll make a big jump next year.

Maybe the coaching of Yolanda Griffith is paying off

I mentioned that back in December but TruBluMaroon gave me a ration of shite. He really sounded like an insider so getting Yolanda can't have had much of an effect.

Maybe eventually she will be the head coach.

Agreed, I think she was an important of this years improvement.

I actually watched the two A-10 Tournament games and thought it was much better basketball than in year's past. Patience may be the name of the game with this program. Timbilla will be back as a senior leader and the freshman Dillard is the REAL deal.
