The fact the athletics brand guide has UMass colors listed as Red and Dark Red is a complete joke. Can anyone get Bamford or someone within the administration to acknowledge the different between athletics and the actual school? At least the school is close to being maroon with Pantone 202. Athletics should just move to this and we can be done with all the nonsense surrounding the branding of the school.

There seems to be a concerted effort by this admin to move athletics away from Maroon. I have no clue why this is the case.

It is absurd that they are calling our colors red. Looking at the two different shades of maroon between Athletics and the rest of UMass, its not a dramatic difference if you look at them side by side. Athletics color is on the left. And the athletics version is still clearly maroon and not red, in my opinion, though certainly closer to red.

I have absolutely no clue why Athletics uses a different color maroon though, it makes ZERO sense.

Saw Dick's Sporting Goods was having an apparel sale - as I normally do, I searched for UMass apparel. I saw what I thought was a sleek looking quarter-zip. Upon further review, the "school name" on the back of the item made me start vomiting and convulsing at my desk. AND it wasn't because of a hyphen.
